Bill Haley and his comets deserved more fame than any other rock n roll artist... They were true Rock n Roll Band... There music was so awesome that they still rock this generation..! R.I.P Bill Haley(Mr Rock N Roll)...! Respect for these guys...!
So lucky to see Bill & the Comets in 1973 in Baltimore. Little Richard was on the bill, too, but Mr. Haley was the headliner and closed the show. Thought the roof was gonna fly off of the Civic Center!

hi , i read in the news of the world newspaper oct 1980 rock king haley ill with a brain tumour with a photo of bill that time and he looked so ill i still have newspaper of that , but his music lives on forever
Bill was definitely in poor health here. He was gone a year or so later, and yes, you are right. Bill did look much better in March 79 than here. This was Nov 79. I saw him on both occasions and close up he looked ill to me. Nevertheless, he did a good show, and his voice sounded pretty much the same. I wonder what happened?
I taped this performance but lost the videotape. Great to see this footage again. At the end of this performance it was announced that he would perform here in Holland in a sexclub of all places.
Looks like Bill may have been having dental work. He tried to keep his mouth closed when not singing. I'm sure it contributed to his ill health. Bad teeth can make you feel like crap. But, in spite of this, he performed like the pro that he was. Long live Rock and Roll.
Oh....he's so tired and let others sing some of the lines. Hate to see him like this...my first musical Hero from I was 10. Two years from this and he was dead. 😢
Looks like the teeth on Both sides of his front teeth are missing. Must have been having some serious dental issues. But it didn’t affect his sound. He sounds just like he did in the 50’s!!! Great effort for his last album. If you don’t have it, you should get it.

this is an anthem to rock and roll. one of the most underrated songs in its genre yet a timeless classic the lyrics go sooo well with thr rythm....
Great to dance to, great listening, great music and you simply can't sit still when Bill and the Comets are playing.

was going to see him in concert but then he died . Very sad . Bill Haley and the comets are a great band and his music is still a live today
