"They tried to torture, oppress and repress the women" - Mairéad Farrell

Mairéad Farrell was an IRA Volunteer and former leader of Republican women prisoners in Armagh and Maghaberry. In this video with Springhill Community House she talks about the Republican Prisoners resistance to the brutality and torture of the prison regime. Shortly after this video was recorded in 1988 Mairéad was executed with two of her comrades in Gibraltar by the British Army.
