I'd like to see some Black Templars painted up... I know... you do them a lot.. but some old school firstborn would be cool.. maybe some conversions on a Devastator squad with 3d prints? Another great video!

But they have so much amazing details and the squad exclusive Plasma Cannon is amazing. I'd be interested in seeing the Ravenwing video, painted up a small Ravenwing army a few years back just as a fun project.
A great looking Deathwing, done quickly and easily. Personally I like going a little crazy painting Deathwing. They're the elite, the best of the best. They deserve being given the special treatment. And all those details do lend themselves to going ham quite nicely. And yes, would love to see you tackle the Raven Guard.

Oh and the since you have done HQ's, deathwing and greenwing you might as well do the ravenwing and round it all out. Plus I think it would be cool to see a RW Black Knight or some command squad biker done in your style. Idk. Just some thoughts. Keep up the good work big homie
I've had some good success with skeleton horde over a white prime, then ushtabi bone dry brushed with a big makeup brush over the whole model. Then do the individual parts in green, red, metallics, etc. Finished 5 in about 3 hours.
This video literally made me start start Dark Angels gave me confidence to try lol. This is the second army you made me collect! First being deathguard !
Dark Angels were on my short list for my first 40k army and the Death Wing were a big reason I love how their armor looks, then I painted Red armor and I went with blood angels Fantastic video as always Andy I hope you paint up a member of the Raven wing sometime soon
Looks pretty cool! The deathwing terminator box is packed with parts to customize the new leviathan ones. That plasma cannon arm fits perfectly on one of the new models, that are much better. Like with the primaries, it’s not the size, it’s the proportions. Nice job! 👍🏻

It's weird how skinny the old Terminators seem now. I remember them being lovely and beefy before we got used to Primaris marines and then new Terminators.
Brilliant work...amusingly this is the one time I really wanted to see the weathering in action 😂....do you think scavenblight dinge might be a good colour for it? Quite impressed with the grey icons in this.
Before my question, the ultimate result was great and a good template for painting numbers of figures so well done for that. Two questions though. Did you actually use Wraithbone as the over spray on the model? Because the model looks grey more than anything and the Wraithbone is a buff or beige sort of colour. Not like what was on screen. Second question. And this is just a little bug-bear of mine. The chipping/weathering. A lot of guys paint the chips on as rust spots which does not quite gel with the lore. I have been into this since 2nd Ed' where the armour is described as being made out of Ceramite. A primarily ceramic compound which has no metal in it, so no rust. The armour would still chip and divot, but it would show more ceramite under the top layer, so maybe cleaner lighter or something with blast marks. Just wondered on your thought on the issue. Ultimately it is each to their own, I get it. But sometimes if the job is done because you don't know, maybe the word should go out?
Yep I used Wraithbone! I use black and silver for weathering power armour not rust! The paint could still rust for some stuff which is why I still think it’s okay for people to use that effect if they want, painting armies is all about personal preference!
I think I would kit bash them now, as the old kit really is showing it’s age proportionally speaking. I don’t think you built it wrong I think it’s just the old proportions grating on you. As a traitor I’m just glad our kit holds up and the new ones don’t make our termis look titchy lol.

Ye basically. I always start from solid black. It helps the second coat of lighter spray stick. And gives nice shadows.
