At least Tong had a motive behind his plan. He was stealing bananas so he could harvest their juices to create monsters. Possibly not just Tikis but the other enemies you fight as well (they explode in clouds of gas when you defeat them hinting they are synthetic) Tong wanted to build an army that was large enough to supposedly take over Donkey Kong Island as well as possibly the rest of the Mushroom Planet. Tong is a master of the dark arts. Despite being only a head with hands he still comes off as somewhat threatening and was well built up upon too. You don't even see him until you enter his tower to confront him. He's always hiding in the shadows conducting his plans. He's not like Frederick who you at least see a sillouhette of giving you a general idea of what he looks like at the start of Tropical Freeze. He's more comparable to Smithy. The faceless mastermind who isn't revealed until the end of the game.
That would be awesome. What if they all team up to get revenge on the kongs? They could kidnap almost all of them and then launch DK out of a cannon to a faraway island, and you have to find your way back to DK island in the game?
Subtract the snowmads and we are good. Tropical freeze ruined the series in my opinion. Definitely not because I’m a hardcore dkc returns fan and has been since it came out when I was a baby...
Them and Snowmads are underrated. I honestly liked that Returns and Tropical Freeze went with new enemies. It was a creative idea. I'd like to see what kind of baddie we'll be fighting in Donkey Kong Country 6.
I do like how they try new ideas, but K. Rool is also a really versatile villain. If the DKC series keeps going on I'd still like to see him return in some form. They could even make him playable, allying with the Kongs to fight a greater evil or something.
Actually the snowmads were crap in my opinion. I just don’t like tropical freeze (probably since I obsessed over DKC Returns for the last decade) DKC Returns is my fav in the series.

Ahhh the tiki tak tribe... I do feel bad for them... I mean I can understand why people don't like them in general and prefer the Kremlings and the Snowmads but i think they are underappreciated ! They were a breath of fresh air knowing that the series needed more vilains,ok they kinda lack personnality but when characters aren't very expressive you must put the focus on something else and with them it was the design,which are really freaking cool for the most part! For all the guys who don't like them,try to give thess guys an another chance,they deserve it...

All the same it would’ve been even cooler imo if between boss battle phases, the tikis hypnotising them would come out and attack you with some unique abilities of their own, kind of like the possessor bosses in Luigi’s Mansion 2 do, although I understand how that could make the fights drag on a little, considering how long some of the fights are already.
Man this is still one of my favorite games the music for the bosses and their design were cool to me. I remember watching this a lot years before and decided to watch it again and it sounded and looked just how I remembered it amazing! Great job with the video.

I thought the tiki tak tribe were a bunch of great villians and yeah I agree with some of the other comments they lack personallity but the music and designs of this game were all great which makes it my second favorite game from the Dk series. I even hope they make a return in the future.

Guitar sounds like it could have been added, but we already have a lute, and if they added a guitar, itbwould be a duo boss. But as we already have the maraca tiki’s so it would have been a slim chance. Violin has the same issue as the piano, but also the problem of already having a lute. A microphone isn’t an instrument, would make that annoying noise microphones usually make, and need to be plugged in. In addition to all the points I previously mentioned, a microphone isn’t someting you would image in a tropical island. And the last insrument you, a homosapien have stated in you’re comment, the drum. It depends on which drum you imagine. If it’s a bongo, that would be most likely added if they make a sequal. If it’s a drum like the one’s you see in a concert, that has a very very small chance of happening. But if they do add the bongo as an official tiki in the remake, they would probably replace the gong tiki for it. I do not think any of these tiki’s will be added as the remake, Tropical Freeze, introduces a new team of villains the DK crew, including Funky Kong, who was in the following games: Donkey Kong Country (offered a ride to any location you are working on or completed), Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest (had the same role), Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble! @@FeddytheReal I don't think the instrument's origins is what mattered (Most instruments are used on the continental parts of the World rather than islands, Kalimba, TamTam, Maracas, Accordeon, Pan Flute and so on) but for what type of music It's used, that's why classical instruments would be a miss fit compared to traditional instruments like the TamTam, Kalimba and accordeon for example, other strings could fit like the citar or mandoline but with the rest not this much as a powerful beat, It would be strange to have a voilin's type of sounds, these are as powerful as you can hear in groups but in an unfitting way for traditional beats the piano isn't this old compared to some and more complex, complexity is a factor too here more than Island vibes, because they don't need Island based instruments since this link is provided by the use of the Tiki Deity, that's why most percussions without complex uses or design could also fit here (you named some like bongos) , but we've seen most drum like instruments were generally given to the underlings so they probably wouldn't become tiki leaders

I've heard it's because Donkey is too stupid. But I can totally see Cranky being immune to it, and Diddy and the Super Kongs are never shown being affected by it in the cutscenes. You might be on to something.
actually i think only Donkey Kong isn't affected because he's somewhat of a dummy, Diddy didn't get affected in the opening cutscene cause he was busy chasing the animals that to their blanabas, and Cranky has been in his hut the whole time
*Continued* Yoshi's of different colors starting with Green on level 1 of a world and ending with Purple on the last level of a world with the only exception being the final level of the last world, and if they excluded, Shy Guys, Dayzees, and other famous Yoshi's Island enemies, I think people already didn't like the fact that Fuzzies were excluded, I mean this is supposed to be the comeback of DKC after so many years of it being absent, and I mean couldn't they wait until the *2bcont.*
Tikis came from lava and there here to take over the land and donkey kong is not happy 1. They stole the bananas and hes land so he went each part of the island knock out each tiki then faced the main tiki , he use bananas to blend it to pour it in the tikis to have hands to stop donkey kong

Left hand: kalimba tiki, maraca tikis, and gong tiki fall towards the bottom
Right hand: banjo tiki, panflute tiki, xylophone tiki, and accordion tiki fall towards the bottom

Are Diddy, Cranky, and the Super Kongs immune? Only Donkey is conformed to be, but they're all the same species.
I've heard it's because Donkey is too stupid. But I can totally see Cranky being immune to it, and Diddy and the Super Kongs are never shown being affected by it in the cutscenes. You might be on to something.

actually i think only Donkey Kong isn't affected because he's somewhat of a dummy, Diddy didn't get affected in the opening cutscene cause he was busy chasing the animals that to their blanabas, and Cranky has been in his hut the whole time

Tikis came from lava and there here to take over the land and donkey kong is not happy 1. They stole the bananas and hes land so he went each part of the island knock out each tiki then faced the main tiki , he use bananas to blend it to pour it in the tikis to have hands to stop donkey kong
