3:03 this just in, jack rabbit is 10 years old 😅
Decade, Century - who's counting?
I personally wouldn’t consider Cheetah Hunt a family coaster. It’s got enough thrilling aspects to it for me to call it a thrill ride.
It’s not a family coaster in itself, but it’s something that isn’t too intense for families
As soon as it Features an Inversion i wouldnt consider it a family Coaster
I agree. With a 130’ drop, 60 mph speed, and an inversion this is not a family coaster. Busch Gardens classifies it as a thrill ride to ok. It’s not too intense that many families could ride it but I still wouldn’t classify it as a family coaster. Kind of feel the same for Incredicoaster too
@@joshberninger8355 Usually those are labled as family thrill coasters. One step above family, one step below thrillers.
To me, if it has an inversion, it's not a family coaster.
I can argue that one but see your point
True, or if it is like 100feet tall or around that
I think California screamin and cheetah where built with families in mind so if call it one 🤷🏻♂️
Everybody has their opinion, it's not really a factual thing. Well it is, but you can decide whether a whole family can enjoy it or not.
Revenge of the mummy is the only one I feel like could be debated on whether it's a family coaster just cause I feel like the ride changes in thrill level a lot depending on how much people are scared of the dark and bugs. I absolutely love the ride though, it was the first real coaster with a track that I rode so I am very nostalgic for it.
I really like family coasters. The limitations they have to work within seem to spur a lot of creativity.
Good point
Colorado Adventure at Phantasialand. A well phantasialand-level themed long Minetrain with around 3 Lifthills, dark sections, and basically everything you wish for. I know nobody Who doesnt like it, its the perfect ride for everybody
Winjas fear and Force at the same Park are also outstanding, very very fun Spinning Coasters. Talking of Spinning coasters - Dwervelwind at Toverland slaps too
A bit smaller but really well done is "Die Schlange von Midgar" at Hansapark, really well themed even tho its more like a Kiddie ride
That Goliath burn was too good! Too tame for such a giant roller coaster (aside from the helix).
“Top 15 Best Family Coasters I have ridden”
*puts an intamin blitz coaster on the list
most people consider cheetah hunt a family coaster
Glad to see Busch Gardens Tampa's great family coasters on here! Great video!
I know BGT has great family rides!
Cheetah hunt is so good. Literally my number one
what why
It’s fire Ik 🙌🏻
I preferred scorpion over it, I’m wierd
@@coolbean259 You prefer neck bruises and back pain?
if wooden warrior isn’t on this i will unsubscribe
edit: it is! i am still subscribed

Oh the compliments
.
@@G_Aviation omg ikr thank you bestie
I wouldn't classify Revenge of the Mummy to be a family coaster. It's not super fast but it does go backwards pretty quickly and the theming is pretty scary for younger kids (at least from my perspective). I also can't say Incredicoaster is a family coaster as well. The fact that it's your first big coaster doesn't mean it's for kids. I think that ride might be more intense than Cheetah Hunt and I am not even sure I'd consider that a family ride.
Great video! I agree about the Alpine coasters. They look like fun from watching POV's of them on here like Outlaw Mountain coaster in Colorado for example.
Great video! My favorite family coaster personally is Incredicoaster at California Adventure, although that may change after my upcoming trip to BGT.
incredicoaster is great’ have fun at bgt
Verbolten is one of my favs 🔥
I would have left a few off for similar reasons you debated - family coaster or not. I probably would have had Laff Trakk on here as opposed to the outdoor version. And maybe Verbolten. That is borderline for me too with thrill/family, though. Back Lot Stunt Coasters are good family rides too.
I'd say Hagrid's is my favorite family coaster, as it's not just a roller coaster, but an experience.
Nice list, I’ve reconsidered what a family coaster is many times over the years, but I think it is a ride that at the time it was built was made with families in mind.
Because of this I myself wouldn’t consider Gemini, Blue Streak, or Jack Rabbit “true” family coasters even though I’d say Blue Streak rides like it is one nowadays. Really fun list, though and Incredicoaster and Manta are definitely some of my favorites.
Dollywood has 2 great family coasters, Dragonflier and Firechaser Express. I've never understood how Cheetah Hunt is considered a family coaster but if it is then it's my number 1 too. Hagrid's would be a close second.
Yeah, that drives me crazy when people call Cheetah Hunt a family coaster. A 130 foot drop just screams 'family coaster'.
If you like alpine coasters, you should come over to Europe where we have some Brandeur alpine coasters which are crazy - they hardly have any braking, and they are a single rail so you feel even more exposed in the tiny toboggan carriages. I went on one with a speedometer section, and I achieved 60kph!
7 dwarves mine train at magic Kingdom is my favorite family coaster. The theming is really well done and the ride itself is just fantastic.
Cheetah Hunt is absolutely phenomenal and it’s night ride tops out Montu and Kumba for me. Yeah I know
100 percent agree! That temperamental trench drop off the Windcatcher Tower is loaded with airtime in the evening.
I only rode one side of Bobsled Matterhorn: the side where when you splash down the Mtn. is to the right. That was in early January 1977 when I wasn't even seven yet. Which side is that called: Fantasy Land or Tomorrow land? Great countdown, BTW; I figured Cheetah Hunt was on the cusp between family coaster and thrill coaster.
The Space Mountain in Florida is incredible, lemme tell ya hwat. If you ride in the back row you get ejector airtime on multiple drops, made even more intense by the pitch black setting.
I have always liked Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland too.
Cheetah hunt is amazing! This is a hot take but I think it’s #1 itp
Honestly I agree. Kumba has gotten really rough recently and I feel it to be decent but very overrated. Montu is very good too but I’m a little biased since I’m small and the restraints are very uncomfortable to me on it so yeah. Ever sheikra or Tigris would be my number two, another hot take.
Tigris is my #3 itp but unfortunately sheikra was closed on my visit
Well if you have been on any other dive coasters you’ve basically ridden sheikra
Back lot stunt coaster 🔥🔥
Great video!
I think Kärnan was once promoted by Hansa Park as a family attraction, so it may be able to make its way here lmao
Idk i Think a vertical dark dropping Hypercoaster might scare the one or other child
@@clubstep8244 some coasters in this list would scare me to death as a child
@@XboxgamerZ yeah, and on top of that family coasters arent only for children, but also parents and maybe grandparents. And i cant imagine my grandma riding mf kärnan x)
my favorite family coaster is magnum at cedar point
Nice list! Here’s my top 10 favorite family coasters. Also this will probably be controversial
10. Comet (Hersheypark)
9. Gemini (Cedar Point)
8. Scorpion (Busch Gardens Tampa)
7. Journey To Atlantis (SeaWorld Orlando)
6. Revenge of The Mummy (Universal Orlando)
5. Cobra’s Curse (Busch Gardens Tampa
4. Escape From Gringotts (Universal Orlando)
3. Lightning Racer (Hersheypark)
2. Cheetah Hunt (Busch Gardens Tampa)
1. Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventures (Islands of Adventure)
I would put gringotts lower personally. I is a great family coaster, but it also doesn't do much to be honest. One drop and that's about it. Revenge of the Mummy for me is a better ride. Hagrid's is still the best family coaster though.
@@dashkataey1740 I can see where you’re coming from. I think Gringotts is such a great experience that it deserves to be that high. I think its not a very good roller coaster but an amazing ride.
My top 5 family coasters I’ve ridden.
1. Hagrid’s
2. Expedition Everest
3. Space Mountain
4. Shockwave
5. Thunder mountain
My favourite family coaster IMO is Wicker Man at Alton Towers!
my favourite family coaster is definitly roar o saurus at storyland
Fun video. Just pointing out that you said Jack Rabbit was a decade old. I’m sure you meant a century old.
yes, thank you 😅
WW1 happened a decade ago
I’m in Disney rn I’m going to Hollywood studios on the sky liner rn so happy
Best family coaster imo is Heidi the ride I think. It is a fun woodie with good airtime.
YESSSS I live close near it and it's great👌🏻
I got my 53rd credit yesterday at Fun spot America Atlanta
My favorite family coaster is Fury 325
Space mountain in Disney world has one airtime pop that is insane
My favourite family coaster is Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point
I wouldn't consider Cheetah Hunt a family coaster. My top 10 family would be:
1. Hagrid's
2. Expedition Everest
3. Revenge of the Mummy
4. Cobra's Curse
5. Space Mountain
6. Big Thunder
7. Vurang (new enclosed version w/ strobo and audio effects)
8. White Lightning
9. Steeplechase
10. Undertow
Honestly i don’t think that cheetah hunt or jack rabbit are family coasters, the back row might be one of the most extreme experiences ever and cheetah hunt surprised me with 2 of the 3 launches being pretty forceful, and the near vertical drop, heart line roll, and ejector airtime hills being super surprising and something i wouldn’t consider family friendly, and inversions in general i don’t consider family friendly
I totally agree that coasters with inversions are not family coasters.
This list is very good. In case you want to know, I'm releasing something similar to the Airtime Thrills April Fool's video about Theme Park Cray tomorrow. Hope you see it!
I’ll definitely check it out!
My favorite family coaster so far is Thunderation
I’m before Samantha repo wow!
Your my favorite UA-camr and I am at 22 subs
thank you 😁
Just commenting to support the channel lol.
ur awesome 👏🏻
5:13 just gotta love that speedy 28mph am I right?
😅😂
Wow my first big rollercoaster was also incredicoaster (California screamin when I rode it)
Mine was Superman ultimate flight at sfgadv!
@@CoasterHorizons I love flying coasters! I’m going on one tomorrow (galactica at Alton towers). That’s quite a big first coaster btw especially with that intense pretzel loop
Gatekeeper is my favorite family coaster
You're really bending the definition of what a family coaster is. Hopefully you're joking LOL
Let's be honest. Expedition Everest is the best family coaster ever made. Let me know what you guys think!
Tbh even though Cheetah Hunt is meant to be a family coaster, when I rode it twice in 2019 it felt like a thrill coaster
Because it is
@@XboxgamerZ Maybe it is!
Do you think that Boulder dash is a family coaster
Absolutely not
family coasters are often more fun than thrill coasters. change my mind.
To me family coasters can't have any inversions, despite lower height restrictions. I know that many people disagree. Cheetah Hunt's (temperamental) airtime filled trench drop off the Windcatcher Tower is one of the most intense elements in Florida. The imposing height of that coaster (130 foot drop) is another reason why it's well outside of the family coaster realm IMO. IMO if a coaster is in the 'extreme' category on RCDB, then it's not a family coaster.
The biggest drop on Maverick is only 100'. It has only one additional inversion and goes only 10 mph faster. So apparently Maverick must be a family coaster too! I think people call CH a family coaster because since it came after Maverick they think it should top it in every statistical category.
Somebody pls tell me what the height requirement for incredicoaster
But how is incredicoaster a family coaster? It has a loop
I almost shit myself when he said Goliath
HAHAHA he said Goliath and made me so confused lol
Oh no definitely disagree jack rabbit was the most scared I’ve ever been on a coaster. Not to be gp but my life flashed before my eyes in the double down. I loosened my seatbelt all the way and basically rode with no restraint in the back row. Probably shouldn’t of done that but it was awesome 😂
I would not be able to convince my family to ride on ANY of these.
I rided manta at sea world San Diego and it still is not intense😢
Wtf is wrong with americans calling cheetah hunt a "Family coaster" , if I was little it would scare me to death, same with the new ice breaker😂😂
No hate btw
Amazing vid🔥
Family coasters can't have inversions. I'm sticking to my guns on this one
Who else is excited for family hybrids!
If Kentucky Flyer is not on here then...
Many people haven't ridden it yet
Where is goliath at magic mountain
You say the Jackrabbit is a decade (10 years) old, but I think you meant a century (100 years).
😂 Goliath
*TIME TRAVELER AND POWDER KEG ARE NOT FAMILY COASTERS!!!!!!*
I don't know why people say they are.
Aaaaaaaanyway... my favorite family coaster is one that people for some reason don't consider a family ride: Wave Breaker.
No Thunderation 😪
First :)
Where’s hagrids? hagrids CLEARS incredicoaster and just edges out cheetah hunt
" A decade old " I think you meant century old.
lol no... the Mummy roller coaster is not a family ride
You clearly have no idea what a family coaster is. The Flight of the Hippogryph, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Funspot's Freedom Flyers - those are all examples of true family coasters. Family coasters are rides any age can ride and are not inverted, fast or scary. Just about every coaster you mention is an intermediate coaster - so please change the title to Intermediate Coasters I love and have ridden. Thank you.
