Hey boss try cycling through the different options when you press the little mileage reset counter thing on your dash. It's a little toggle switch that sticks out for your speedometer is. According to the manual that's where you change the default setting (after 12 miles per hour the doors automatically lock).
That really is a mailbox, I have an identical one on the front of my apartment and the other 24 in my complex. Too small for ads etc but great for the 80's when built.
The rear doors do open all the way you need to engage the yellow latch on the inner side of the doors. That auto lock also can be turned off using the left menu button on the steering wheel. Just keep looking for choices until you see Settings. Then Autolock. Why not use some double stick tape and hang some cheap carpet on the inner walls to protect them? Watch the fuel door if you hit it going out of the vehicle, it can break after time. I think it's like a $500 fix.
Check your owners manual, you should be able to disable the automatic lock feature. You can always check with the service dept on how to disconnect it. Good Luck with the new ride!
Too bad you left the mid century modern couch. Those long, adjustable metal pieces are pant stretchers. My mom used those to put my dad's work pants on to dry. Put creases in the pants.
I like your new van. You picked up a variety of stuff this time. Your blue shirt looks good on you. It brings out the color of your eyes. We haven’t seen you without your hat in awhile. 😄 Keep living the dream. You are doing a good thing keeping junk out of the landfill! Good job! Taco! 👍
Congratulations on your new van!! There’s probably a way to disable the doors from automatically locking that you can do from the owner’s manual or the dealer can do. Owner’s manuals are getting thicker every year!! Suggest applying some of the reflectorized red/white strips on your rear door jambs so when they’re open you have some protection from being hit by vehicles coming from behind. I put them on my driver’s door, too, so when it’s first opened, it’s seen right away (assuming the driver isn’t texting or distracted). Take care, and stay safe. Best, B
The thing you thought was maybe for matches (LOL) actually was a mail box. You were holding it upside down. The curved pieces were where mailman left magazines.
19:40 Yeah, that's for mail delivery to be placed near your front door. You're holding it upside down. The hook in your hand is for a rolled-up newspaper.

The wooden boy with metal sticks is for the yard to stand up in the yard or garden 😊 should sell especially summer time . Enjoy your videos . I’m in Florida and I love watching I get to see a lot of older antiques and things up your way . A lot of people around here seem to be getting away from antiques, my mom and dad had a house full of them and I love them as well as a few of my sisters but a lot of the newer generations seems to not want much to do with them which is sad . Glad to see you seem to appreciate them as well . 😊
Those metal fence type things always sell at Flea Markets as far as I’ve seen on Blue Bus Dave’s videos. Take them with you the next time you go & ask Dave- he buys them!!
I would love to have some wooden hangers. Instead of these old plastic hangers. Clothes stay on the wooden ones. You'll figure your new van out and love it.
An additional carpet on the floor in the back would save damaging it with metal.... :) I believe the log holder is just for decoration beside a fireplace.. You said, "put it right into your fireplace"....
Taco Stacks, at 19:45 you were holding a metal mailbox, upside-down. The curled parts you were holding it by is for newspapers or magazines. And yes, to me it does seem a little slim for a mailbox.
Great trash picking video, I loved that fluffy chair...it's lush. That couple are so sweet keeping all the metal for you. Great video, looking forward to the next one Taco Stacks.
My husband told me to tell you that he has almost the exact same VANSKI. He has placed very thin piece of plywood in the back of it. It still looks brand new under it.(not pressed board). Elaine from Florida. She sure is pretty !!!!!
That painted boy is a lawn ornament, and yes that metal thing is a mailbox to put on a building. You could grow a lot of tomatoes now with those metal holders!
If someone really loves that old picture/frame they can always take it to a framer to make a mold of the old decoration around the edge and make a piece to match what is missing. They just have to find the right person(artist) that does that kind of work. You had a great day with metal and some treasures. Taco, you were holding that black mail box upside down and the curved bars hold a news paper or magazine.
It is an old mailbox but you had it upside down. The curved area is where they used to put your paper. Now they just throw your daily paper in your yard lol
Got some good treasures today! That Christmas tree stand Pam might be interested in. Read your manual and see if there is a way around the locks or stop at the dealer. Great to see Miss Salsa if only for a minute. Stay safe!
If I found those metal decorative fences I would steel wool or wire brush off the rust and spray paint them. They are really quite expensive and people love them. Have fun.
Taco, You should add plywood deck to the van's interior to protect it from getting damaged with heavy items that you collect. It is not that expensive and is easily attached with a few screws.
The 60s vibrant orange shallow glass is a decorative bowl for the center of the table for flowers or fruit. See pedestal molded ring on the bottom. The old picture is charming and desirable. DIYers will glue the corners and spray paint the frame gold and enjoy it flaws and all.
A friend of mine has a van similar to yours and you should be able to disengage the automatic lock for your side and back doors. Also hats off to you for your keeping recycleable materials out of the landfill 👍
Your new doors have magnets to hold them wide open. The magnets are also mounted on the side of the body. They touch when you open the door all the way.
Whenever I’ve picked, I’ve noticed a trend. Poor areas tend to throw out a LOT, but it tends to be mostly garbage. Rich, and I mean **RICH**, areas tend to throw out very little, but what they do throw out tends to sell easier/for more money. Middle class areas are in between: Decent amount of stuff, and sells/can be scrapped relatively easily.
Taco in the box of metal she gave you those rectangular metal frames are pants stretchers for hang drying pants and they put a crease in them as well. They sell well on Ebay. Those are vintage but they still sell them today. Don't scrap them sell them. hard to find the old ones.
Im not only really enjoying your videos of trash picking but i feel like you are giving me a tour of your area. Dont really know where u are but i love the beautiful homes with large front grassy yards and todays streets were smaller not so grand. Im in Australia.
Ya should still get the soft tote bags and donate them to the office of Foster Kids they could use them and I know that the kids will appreciate it.. Nice haul . The little boy is a garden figure.
Enjoy the Week!
The yellow buttons on the back on the Doors are to full open the Doors. Thank me later !
Are you and PAM going to your neighbours old landfill again this winter? I likes those videos last year

@@alexandervandeneynde3121 yeah I knew there had to be a way around it good info.
The thing with the locking doors should have a button or something. And do you have speakers on the back doors? If so they won t be there for long🤣
Turn the black mailbox right side up and it really does look like a wall mount mailbox with the holder on the bottom for rolled papers / magazines.
It is a mailbox.

@@maryclendenin8565 Or unlock it on the way out of the van.
oh my boy.....that is a mailbox and newspaper holder...you are holding it upside down.
Suggestion, why don't you get some if those moving blankets and hang on the sides of the van that way it will help protect the sides from dents.
I've suggested moving blankets twice.
I suggested thin paneling to protect the sides of his dodge. nope. shortly after I noticed the telltale signs of side gouges from cargo shifting.
As a Aussie, I find the houses uniquely built, I love looking at the neighbourhoods over there.
DOOR LOCKING ISSUE: There should be a setting in your dash where you can set it up for the doors to unlock everytime you put the van into park.
Taco Stacks most likely you can program off automatic locks. Read your instructions or call dealer. I have done that for on wife truck.
Can’t believe you missed the vintage wicker chair that went to that metal base
You can definitely sell that decorative fencing!
You should put a bin in the truck to put all the small items. You really need to work on your packing skills 😂

Oh darn wish I had some!
Most mid cent couches with back are listed at $500. Been looking for a while, but not that kind.
Couldn't hurt to give the owners manual a glance or two.
Absolutely. Problems are solved by the owner's manual.
You left that classic, mid-century, wicker chair there, after she handed you the metal base.
a little painful to watch sometimes!

The thing you thought was maybe for matches (LOL) actually was a mail box. You were holding it upside down. The curved pieces were where mailman left magazines.
That was a really nice mailbox you were holding upside down.

Yes it's a mailbox you are holding it upside down
It's a mailbox, and the hooks are used to hold your morning newspaper; holding it upside-down can be confusing.
Yes that is a mailbox. When people actually had their mailboxes right beside the front door on the front of the house.
The orange glass thing is probably a cover for a light fixture. Like the flush to the ceiling type.

Taco Stacks would a heavy duty tarp work in the back when loading all that metal? When it comes time to clean you just gather the tarp.
