People talk about yba like it’s a difficult game most “skilled” players use a braindead stand moderately well and know the basics of the game Majority of lb players are just abusing Ger and star platinum and hiding behind cheap moves (barrage + tree, rtz, counter, heal, awk, etc.) while moving unpredictably I don’t consider myself good, but I can fold people in quite a few 1v1s just with a timeskip stand due to its unpredictability, but if I were to pick up ger and nolife the game I could get on lb, even tho it wouldn’t be fun. ccg is good, but his gameplay is playing counters/punishing and moving/spamming unpredictably. I’m not saying he’s bad, I’m saying this is what it takes in yba to be “good”

Boxing just has so much range bc of the boxing shuffle and the stun. So if you literally use boxing u can do like 70+ dmg with just the moves only, compared to hamon having countrrsble moved and used for increased damage mostly

My friend came up with a 3-moves combo on WA + hamon (one of the moves is zoom punch) which deals more than 100 damage even if you have boxing armor. The most simple solution is just increase hp up to 300 or smth. This fixes a lot of problems with damage yk

Everyone's been denying to me that all these specs are broken and need changes INCLUDING hamon which I feel is the most obnoxious when trying to put on pressure with dealing with sendo and luck and pluck. Pluck definitely is busted generally, it's way too effective and the downside of no extra defense isn't equal at all to its actual power. I think they decided to go with boxing because of the fact you can boxing shuffle into every move which makes confirming combo starters, extenders, stupidly easy, as well as making jawbreaker basically guaranteed damage unless the victim can counter. Hopefully pluck is next up on the chopping block though.
The combo starters in question: Knuckle sandwitch (no stun, around 12 damage) Liver shot (awful stun that cant confirm most of the moves, around 20 total damage with bleed The free jawbreaker damage: 20.9 if they have no def, 17.7 on average, less than 15 on awks and stuff. Haymaker>shuffle got patched long time ago. Shuffle surely makes boxing's op 100 damage moves even more threatening! Its the spec i dont have to rely on stand's damage completely with!
Btw have you tried tusk4 pluck? Pierce confirms every single move bro its so op. I remeber doing crescent slice into pierce into wormhole beatdown. Then I caught em with unsealed steel, pierce, barrage, pierce, wormhole nails and beatdown. It does like 80% period

I hate how boxing right now is jack of all trades. You get the moves (there used to be 3, now look at the amount), gives you the tankiness without really sacrificing anything and it gives you the damage. Pluck is essentially the same as it was pre rework, having alot of moves not doing too much dmg but for rather comboing withour hp or all dmg buffs. Hamon basically got a buff with you being able to use the moves without the charge, but people got it for the dmg boost and dmg resistance. Spin is meant to cover long range and so exceeds at it. Vampirism so far has been cheese pre rework and after it too (double counter, free health regen, pre rework inf combos, etc). Plucks long range moves so far are dash moves, while boxing's is an ultimate, block break, huge hitbox move that gives you a shield. You can also pin point how boxing has been good for a long time with star platinum and C-moon boxing been everywhere for the longest out of any spec/stand combo.

if u comparing box and other fs add some numbers hamon have same cds and if u comparing jaw and hamon burn punch overall dmg with burn will be more only on 10 with full burn also box has passive defense same as hamon when charged, it gaining same dmg by his moves and combos which can be landed by broken passive which lowering windups as sword box giving op mobility and low cd stuns at this points box having the best parts of hamon and sword without any debufs tbh only that should be nerfed in hamon length of stun at zoom punch at sword should me more cd on pierce circle slash should be parrible on both hit and mortal slash should be blockable
