This is exactly what I needed to hear. This constant cycle of physical activity -> body rushing up -> collapse -> slowly regaining energy has made me crazy so many times. I guess I need to become indifferent to all the bodys symptoms and accept them as they are
Thank you, this helps me feel a little more like there is something I can do. I have been having adrenaline dumps every day for 2 months and have been worried I will die. It helps to know I'm not alone, and they can be controlled.

I developed a hypersensitive nervous system due to long covid and I get the adrenaline dumps quite frequently. I'll be sitting down quite calm and all of a sudden get a burst of adrenaline. Or I'll be lying in bed and get sudden random spikes in my heart rate. It's a challenge not to panic about it and to just try and stay calm. I'm working on that everyday. Before long covid I always had a slow heartbeat and would never be aware of my heart rate or adrenaline levels so its really weird for me to feel it so often. I also have chronic pain. I know this is all linked to a glitch in my nervous system and I'm working on calming it everyday. Miguel your videos have given me so much hope and I'm so inspired by your cfs journey!
The chronic pain has improved. I still get adrenaline rushes but now I know how to deal with them better. And I can go ages without them and then have a period where I get alot. I've just gone through a phase of having them at night which was not fun, but as Miguel always says it's about trying to turn the dial down on your nervous system so these symptoms aren't so loud, and that's what I work on everyday!
OMG I’ve had these exact symptoms and I suspect I have CFS although I don’t hit all the criteria! I do get bad fatigue but it’s on and off and I can’t relax without my nervous system over reacting. I have CPTSD.
omg so grateful you posted this x i have been doing better for afew months and able to do more but then afew weeks ago started with the buzzing/vibrating/feeling overstimulated and heart racing/pounding x wasnt sure what was going on then this week been feeling very tired physically so decided to pull back for abit as per your advice, less screentime etc so hoping this helps x i had started to get very anxious about it because not been at this stage before so feel much better knowing its normal x thanks so much Miguel 👍
So happy with this video! This has been my main issue since becoming completely housebound/couchbound after years of pushing through. It does feel like going crazy, I would even feel relief when 'crashing' because at least I would feel calmer. It's impossible to get out of this cycle without the right information so i'm really glad to finally learn all this about the nervous system. I can now see my friends/do some shopping etc. once in a while and actually enjoy it, even when feeling weird sensations, knowing that if I take enough rest afterwards it'll be okay. Thank you for your work
This information is invaluable. I couldn’t imagine going through an adrenaline surge for days, let alone hours 😯. It’s remarkable how you were able to separate your mind from your symptoms. I’m at that place now but thankfully, my symptoms are not as severe as what you went through. Sometimes I am able to do it but ugh. Watching you gives me so much hope and that’s everything. I am so grateful for you and your content ❤️🙏
Every single thing I do in upright position makes adrenaline go around in my body. It's so hard to deal with. I can try to take a slow walk. But I often feel like I want to sleep during the walk, my heart is pounding hard and faster than normal and if I continue to walk and try to get rid of the adrenaline I will then have higher heartrate while resting too. Racing thoughts. Can't stop thinking of solutions and solving problems. But that also gives me adreanaline because I'm to tired of searching for answers. Can't sleep without sleepingpills, wake up with stress and anxious. Does this also belong to POTS/dysautonomia?
Yes we do get adrenaline surges. Unable to control the racing thoughts and bouts of excitement. Trying to follow what you teach us, that is responding well is the only way out. Thanks, Miguel.
Miguel - I have many CFS symptoms, but they are secondary to a chronic disease. Your videos are very helpful and applicable to managing many other chronic ailments. Thanks!
Hey Miguel. What happens when it’s happening while sleeping? I wake up from dreams that are either scary or physically exciting…ie…running. If I could describe the feeling it’s like slowly blowing up a balloon and the feeling just rises in my body
This Video has helped me come out of a 3 day adrenaline dump. I feel physically drained and could sleep for a week....but I feel good after watching this. I'm not the only one and I will be ok! Thanks for the upload its really helped. Peace and Love
Like a number of other comments, I get adrenaline rush before doing something towards the boundaries or over my baseline.I found CBD gummies help on these occasions. Now I know why as I’m taking a step back and not worrying as much.
When my adrenaline rushes come along they make me feel I can achieve anything and carry me along with the hyperactivity all day and do much more, then I get burnt out for 2-3 days afterwards. I'm trying to separate myself out from them and calm down but it's so hard as they drive me forwards on a wild ride. It's good to see this video as I haven't seen this topic anywhere else. I don't know what causes the body to suddenly goes crazy with adrenaline, does anyone else? I have it about once a week for a full day. I'm wondering if it's when I psyche myself up to have to achieve something that needs extra energy, and then it's adrenaline that keeps that momentum going, racing along, making rest impossible.
It’s your nervous system essentially having a mini panic attack. It’s normal when you’re sensitised. It’s a miscommunication of danger. Don’t try to figure it out just leave it alone. The gaps between having them get bigger and less intense

Wow yes!!! I’ve totally noticed the cyclical nature of this - and actually I had about 2 months where I was very wired and highly anxious right before my crash
What do u recommend doing when u get this full body adrenaline rush when u r around ppl? I.e - in an unavoidable crowded setting (an important family bday party for example). My mind totally realises it's my NS but I'm shaking visibly in front of ppl and feel like I may collapse... is it a matter of having to leave (when I don't particularly want to) but how do u calm the physical symptoms in such a setting (say a resteraunt).
What you describe is basicly putting mindfulness into praxis. Don't do, just watch. Which is the best you can do in this moment. My mind goes super excited when the energy is coming back, overestimating my body. To notice that and not act on it is so crucial to getting better. It's a work in progress for me. Listening to energetic music is something that works as a substitute for physical activity for me. I can handle that well and it's actually fun
I think mine is stemming from a neck issue. I'm 25 and the symptoms are unbearable. I put a gun to my head but didn't have the courage to end it. There's no chance I'll ever get back to normal so I'm gonna wait and see if I can get the balls to do it.
Hi, I have had adrelanine rushed which last for a day or so. Always after I have done something which have gone very well, like a physical training pass or when I have done something cognitive. I try to lay back and enjoy the feeling instead of carry on. It works most of the time.

@cfsrecovery thanks for responding! My greatest struggle is when I work out I feel fine afterwards but when I sleep that night my muscles get so sore they cause me to have adrenaline rushes that keep me awake all night. I try to go low and slow with my workouts and supplement and hydrate and stretch but it doesn't always help. I do a keto diet. And I avoid caffeine. I feel like part of it is due to a life filled with some pretty severe trauma and like there is a psychological component to my physiological response
Thank you for this inspiration!… I can’t yet manage this level of detachment but I am going in the right direction… I use mindfulness meditation like Tara Brach or Declutter the Mind to “act as if” and keep training my mind. It always helps ❤
We should not paniking because then the crash is coming ,but what to do if you are sleeping ,waking up and not really awake and feeling that you have a psnic attack ,that your system is overwhelmed. Try to stop a panic attack which you are not feeling .so i as i was aware of i tried immediately to calming down and then tried to calm my heart rate from 180 down. I try to stay relaxed .but 10 minutes after that my body automatically wanted to start panicing again .again that is no Panic attack because of fear ,it comes out of nowwhere .is this the adrenalin rush? And how to avoid because we learned panicing ,system overwhelmed ,crash ,more symptoms. I can have the best mindset but how can i avoid it,when it comes in my sleep ?and now it will stay again a long time .the heartrate itself is not the Problem but the automatically panic attack from the body makes me crash.

Wow, my goodness! I have an incredibly oversensitive nervous system from wrong brain training. I literally started having these crazy adrenaline rushes from foods, or not eating and weird reactions to foods. Feeling elated, manic, restless but to me i pretty much never get that crash! Msybe bc i dont have actual CFS?! Indeed i get the buzzing too in my body! I thought it was a mild serotonine syndrome?? Can this be related to reactions to foods! Like having oversensitive reactions? Like from a tiny bit of caffeine like tea??

Love your videos bro, I’m really struggling at the moment with so many physical symptoms and anxiety and panic. My heart is always racing and fluttering and constantly sends me into a panic then I go to A&e. Had multiple ECGs all normal. The adrenaline rushes seem to make the fluttering ten times worst. I’m scared to exercise as it does it too. Can I ask you a few questions about symptoms and how I can help myself please?
Hope you found some helpful advice for this!! As long as you’ve been checked out by a doc and they’ve given you the all clear (no POTS, no SVT, etc.) then it’s probably all nervous system related. I’m not a doc, all of the following comes from my experience and what medical professionals have told me. PACs and PVCs are totally normal even in the non-CFS community. For me a beta blocker helps, you’d have to ask your doc about that one. And if you have the all clear, exercise anyway. Like walks for example. Start small and build up your tolerance. If you can go 2 min and then you start racing and fluttering then either remind yourself it’s your nervous system scared of what you are doing, or stop and sit for a few taking deep breaths and grounding until you’re ready to start back up again. When you pick back up again and go any distance, compliment yourself for being a bada$$ and pushing through discomfort. If you quit for the day and decide to try again tomorrow, still compliment yourself for again being a bada$$ for trying something hard. I would always send my sis a Snapchat telling her all about my walk and she always responds “proud of you!” and those things were real confidence builders for me. It helped (and still helps) me personally to listen to calming music, worship music, or a guided walking meditation. Music with words or fast music would hype me up and make it worse. And honestly, I have been blessed with a really great therapist and she’s helped me too! I’m still working through CFS, but these are things that have helped me in this aspect, listen to your body if you think all the symptoms are saying rest, then rest, if not then attempt a walk. You’ll be able to tell the difference. Walks will build up your endurance in my experience and help with these symptoms. They can be scary and tough, but you’re tough too!

It feels more like a panic attack which the System wants to let out. Even if you try to relax it only works for 10 Minutes, than the pressure and the panic starts again. You can try to stay calm but if you suddenly fall asleep especially in the night it hits you then very hard
Someone pls answer my question !! If im going to walk, for example i did a bit much or i dont know, i feel like i ran a marathon. There was no crash at all, until now, but i feel soooo tired :S Is that good to move like that, or is it already to much? Thats my biggest question with practiceing...
It sounds like your body is probably in that phase where it's finally letting go and finally getting the rest needs. Allow yourself to rest right now. We actually see this a lot with people who are running on adrenaline for long periods of time.
@@cfsrecovery Opposite. I rested a lot and just sank... Ever since I started to be a little more active, of course baseline and everything, I'm better. Only sometimes there are such overspeeds, mini crashes, or I don't know what. It's hard for me to overcome them, but I've always succeeded, thanks to you. Overall, I feel much better. So I try not to remain inactive, because I feel that it is not good to just rest. Little activity, than rest, activity, rest, that circle. So by the end of the day, I am often symptom-free and this gives me hope.
I know you should rest during adjustment period of feeling tired, but during the adrenaline rush that last for a day or 2 should you rest too or do things as usual things I usually do like not doing less or ding more but doing my regular routine like movement/pace walking.
@@cfsrecovery hi Miguel, what would your advice be for somebody with life commitments like work that for example when these adrenaline rushes/adjustment periods kick in cannot be put to one side for complete rest etc?
Also, I know in other videos you mention listening to audiobooks or podcasts etc to keep the mind occupied somewhat. Would you say that this is still appropriate when you're experiencing this?
With me is every time l try a new suplement for energy thst generally gives me palpitations. If the palp is strong it immediately sets a high adrenaline rush thst lasts 24 hours. The night when this episodes happens l can not fall sleep bc my heart keeps jumping from the adrenaline and wakes me up. I feel destroyed inside with this false energy burts. I love the idea of keeping the mind still like a lake...... listening to it could already feel the calming effect.

Does adrenaline rush cause anger or tears ( crying bouts) also?
It can.
Wow yes!!! I’ve totally noticed the cyclical nature of this - and actually I had about 2 months where I was very wired and highly anxious right before my crash
That's usually the pattern that happens!
Take yourself away to a quiet space and close your eyes and take slow, deep breaths
Good to know 😁
It’s weird but I’m to the point where I can’t even feel anxiety anymore or scared I almost have no reaction. Anyone else have this?
Great that's exactly what we want. We want for you to be completely indifferent to the symptoms
How are you now
How are you now
Yes!! Like catatonic and anhedonia I think.
Are permanently swollen lymph nodes common for chronic fatigue syndrome ? Also i never get adrenaline rushes.
This is very common, nothing to worry about. It's one of those many symptoms!
I think mine is stemming from a neck issue. I'm 25 and the symptoms are unbearable. I put a gun to my head but didn't have the courage to end it. There's no chance I'll ever get back to normal so I'm gonna wait and see if I can get the balls to do it.
💙 Please keep following Miguel he will really understand and his videos are so good to listen to every day 💙💙💙
Hi, I have had adrelanine rushed which last for a day or so. Always after I have done something which have gone very well, like a physical training pass or when I have done something cognitive. I try to lay back and enjoy the feeling instead of carry on. It works most of the time.
That’s a great idea. I’m going to try this next time. Because it IS actually kinda enjoyable, right?

Walking and yoga helps me
@@cfsrecovery i hope so. I have them for months
What if you have adrenaline surges coming and going through the day and only lasting for 30 seconds at a time? But coming like waves througout the day. Anyone recognize this?
Grateful to have found your channel! I've not found anyone else who experiences this and have felt alone in it for 15 years.
I'm glad you found my channel too! You're not alone, and there's a community here to support you. May I ask what symptoms you may be struggling with ATM? 🌟💙
My mind/thoughts are the opposite, when i get the adrenaline dump i get massive tunnel vision and my long term memory recall dissipates.
Denny’s! Omg, the average person without CFS would get those symptoms after eating at Denny’s! 😂.. brings back memories 😆
😅😂
no one EVER mentions OXYGEN LEVELS. I am awaiting your reply, or anyone's, for that matter.

Thank you for this inspiration!… I can’t yet manage this level of detachment but I am going in the right direction… I use mindfulness meditation like Tara Brach or Declutter the Mind to “act as if” and keep training my mind. It always helps ❤
Amazing 🙌
You're right! 👍 Please check this link. I hope it helps!

@@cfsrecoverymy body stays in the phase with extreme pendulum moves. Why the pendulum does not stop in the middle.
Absolutely! Please watch this and hopefully, it helps: ua-cam.com/video/Z5Bd6uM_oWE/v-deo.htmlsi=CsCjTg8oMDoAVhPk
Did you ever get sensations of faint
Yes
Did you feel like burning sensations? I have burning sensations on the body (arms and hands). Like if I were burning.
Yes! 😅
Anyone get adrenaline dumps? I get random dumps of adrenaline that will raise blood pressure or heart rate, teeth chattering..scary

Super helpful video as I’m experiencing this right now as I write this and was freaking out!
I'm glad to hear that the video was helpful to you! 🌟 If you have any more questions or need further support, feel free to ask. You're not alone in this journey. 💪😊

I tend to get them more at night. Is it common then for us to be in adjustment periods and the rushes cause more intense symptoms the next day?
Yes that is very common
Did you get sensation of head shaking and brain fog?
Definitely! I've made a video about it. Check it here: ua-cam.com/video/Z2e4qHOQP_k/v-deo.html. Hope this helps! 🙂
Great
I know you should rest during adjustment period of feeling tired, but during the adrenaline rush that last for a day or 2 should you rest too or do things as usual things I usually do like not doing less or ding more but doing my regular routine like movement/pace walking.
Very true!
@@cfsrecovery lol . That was a simple question I put in a long ass cluster sentence. 🤣
@@cfsrecovery hi Miguel, what would your advice be for somebody with life commitments like work that for example when these adrenaline rushes/adjustment periods kick in cannot be put to one side for complete rest etc?
Pretty much but it’s ok. 😂😂
This is really good!!
🙌🏻
Needed this
Also, I know in other videos you mention listening to audiobooks or podcasts etc to keep the mind occupied somewhat.
Glad it was helpful 😊
