I work overnight stock at Walmart, guys go on a walk before eating EVERY MEAL or do sum burpees. For 20 minutes after that lil cardio you'll be hungry getting in the extra 600-700 calories

I'd also include vegetables in addition to all the foods you mentioned. Especially broccoli, spinach, cauliflower and carrots but really any combination of veggies are great for you and help with getting essentials.

Eating whole foods is the advice they give to fat people to loose weight. You'd have to eat 8 fucking peaches to get 400 calories! Mutherfucker, that's a single King size Snickers bar, 8 of those go down like a fat kid on a seesaw! I'm big as shit but if I tried to eat 8 fucking peaches I'd throw up.

If you fast a few times a week to clear out your body to accept food better, this will help WAY more than you think to put on some weight after heavy compound lifts CONSISTENTLY.
Insulin resistance is a thing and cardio for 20 mins in the morning can help.
What about only eating carbs the day you. Train?
Straight up I was a "hard gainer" till I started counting macros. Turns out I'm a metamorph. I was eating like 1800 - 2100 cals a day thinking I was eating so much. Lmao.
then how much cals were necessary for you to grow?
@Siddharth Palkar I'm 5 "10 78 kg so for me when bulking I aim for 2600 - 3200. Preferably higher range. Also macros matter. I eat 0.8 - 1 gram of protein per lb of bodyweight. So for me at 172lb x 1 that equals 172 grams of protein I aim for daily. On a typical day of bulking I would eat 300 - 400 grams carbs , 60 - 100 grams of fat , 140 - 200 grams of protein. I aim to stay in a range that is optimal for muscle growth , its ok if your numbers aren't perfect , just something to aim for.
Watching what you eat (counting macros) and maintaining a calorie surplus is what helped me a great deal. Quite honestly I started growing so much once I started doing a proper diet. Muscle gain is 80%diet 20% training imo.
My best advice is plug your height and weight into a macro app and see what your daily need is and aim to surpass that by 10 - 20% I need about 2400 calories a day so I eat closer to 3000 to maintain calorie surplus of healthy protein rich foods.

I train because I struggle with mental health issues and training and dieting keeps me motivated and happier. I'd be much too shy to post shirtless pics and such online even though I do workout alot.
I am by no means a top bodybuilder , just a gym bro who likes to study how best I can improve myself naturally. More plates more dates is a great youtube channel for accurate bodybuilding information on everything from diet to training to steroids.
Most important thing is admire others body's but don't compare yourself to them. The only person you are training to beat and improve on is yourself!

Eat and eat more. I find that most hard gainers put their bodies through a lot of activity, the more activity means you are burning calories. This makes it hard to be in a calorie surplus, no surplus no weight gain. Find a way to eat 4-6 Meals a day instead of 2-3 with some random snacking through out the day. Eating a lot is not the same as eating often.

I'm a girl and I weigh 44 kg and no matter what I eat I can't seem to gain weight but that was until I started weight lifting and doing strength exercises that I gained 45 kg 😂 it may not be like a dramatic change but for a girl that has a hard time gaining weight it's progress!

I'm lifting on average 3 days a week for an hour, sometimes 4 days. depending on how it falls around cardio, which I do 3 days a week. I usually don't do both in the same day. I've increased my carbs and fat lately and I'm still maintaining in the same 3 lb. range. But that's OK. I'm a naturally skinny guy. 6-2 and around 190. Nothing wrong with that since it is in the upper range of preferred BMI. I take creatine, but really no other supplements. I eat as much protein as I can get from food without getting constipated. I am seeing muscle growth and an increase in strength. So I'll just keep it up at this pace and the muscles will slowly come. I honestly don't want to look bulky or eat unhealthy to get there. I've fixed my BP problem and lowered my cholesterol to the point I'm off those meds. Health is the most important thing.
In my opinion, compound movements are not really necessary. Just food and lifting a lot. P.S. don‘t forget some cardio 😉
As a skinny guy I will be dodging cardio with aggression until I gain this mf weight it’s just more calories to eat later to much of a pain

Being skinny and working a hard manual labor job, I decided to bulk. I strictly consumed 4000-4400 calories every day for 8 weeks, weighing everything to the gram to meet the goal. I gained absolutely no weight after the 2 months... wasted so much time and money on meals. Should I just wait a few years and try again? I'm 20.
I was the same when I was 19-20. Hard labor and eating, didn't budge a single kilo. After that went to a less active job and tried a hardcore bulk, gained like 3 kilos and felt like shit at all times and lost it within a week of stopping. When I got to like 24-25 just suddenly gained 15kg without anything much different from what I tried before, just adding a 1 small extra meal and exercise. Metabolism plays a big part and it slows down with age. It's not impossible you just have to eat a lot more. I'd like to quote a coach I had back in the day - "At your age with your metabolism, you burn a whole meals worth of calories just by opening your eyes in the morning". I know how frustrating it is to be skinny, but just try to not stress about it too much and focus on other aspects of your life for a little bit and try again.
Edit: Also it's not just about how much you consume, but rather how much you body absorbs and burns. So if you're struggling to absorb food it may be an indication of some health issue or a disease. Better make sure and do some check ups with your doctor just in case. For me it was smoking and drinking that scuffed my digestion, after quitting I've never felt better. Good luck brother!

i was 130-135lbs from 16-23.. out of nowhere this year i gained 35 pounds just off an increased appetite + another 5lbs just from these last 2 weeks i’ve been in the gym. i have a track&field/ martial arts background & i box/bike for cardio now.. i don’t have any weight goals so i have always trained for functionality and have always been stronger/faster than ppl in my weight-class.. hopefully i’ve offered some perspective u can benefit from

Is it possible to put on more weight in terms of muscle as a 5'5ft guy? Im currently 63kg, and I've been going to the gym for one year, so far, I've benched 65kg, OHP 40kg, Squat 100kg, and deadlift 110kg. Would putting on 5 or 10 extra kgs be possible and if so, what are the consequences for my body?

Do intense physical labor, extremely hard to gain weight. Drop weight extremely fast if my appetite struggles for just a week or two. 5 foot 9 and at 165 in a 29/30 waist and they're loose. Get up to 195 and let me tell you guys...
Good quality vanilla ice cream, weight gainer/protein powder, bananas, strawberries whatever you like, mango etc, I use banana cause peanut butter goes well with it. They even make powdered pb protein powder you can add, sold at Meijer and I think walmart, do a double serving if you want for weight gainer/protein powder and I would drink 1-2 a day, that's like 3k+ cal from the weight gainer in the shake alone, and they go down easy.
Meat. Get your meat in too, find recipes you like and can eat plenty of, shredded chicken, Buffalo chicken sandwich, chicken liver, ground lamb and potatoes, carrots, shepherds pie type deal or just a skillet, eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, can snack on nuts, almonds and pistachios, cashews, there's something for everyone. It helps to get excited, find high protein recipes you like, and for real, do try the shakes. Good luck.

I just found out that I have back problems and am advised not to do deadlifts and squats, do you have any recommendations for alternatives?
See a Physical therapist to help with your back issues. there's plenty of stretches and dynamic movements you can do to strengthen your back. I would personally recommend basic calisthenics like pull ups, and air squats until you can work your way up to adding weight and doing those compound movements.

What i find difficult is waking up after a hard day at the gym because im so beat up idk if thats a fatigue thing or a mental thing. But for awhile i tried waking up around 6-7am to start eating in two hour intervals to be able to get down 3500 calories a day and the lets not talk about the work you have to put in the add some pizazz to the food youre eating because it gets boring eating plain food like chicken broccoli rice or a sandwich with yogurt you know. Im making excuses at the end of the day but i think i need an accountability partner or better yet a personal trainer

Most people do not have a digestion/absorption issue. Those people have actual medical problems and simply putting on muscle or gaining weight is the least of their problems.

A proper meal is the food,drink,and a snack after [yes breakfast counts as a meal] i also drink a big glass of milk before i go to bed. (You dont need to eat extremely healthy just eat 3 proper meals a day with a glass of milk before bed and in 2-3 months you will gain about 9-10 pounds,but if you fail to eat proper for 2 days you will lose allot of weight,make sure you sleep atleast 8hrs of sleep if makes a big difference. [For breakfast i usually eat cereal,sometimes my food is junk food,and for snacks most of the time it is fruits or things like chips or a glass of milk,if your 5'6 you should aim for 143 lbs, dont give up man,you dont need gym to gain weight just eat well.

There is a reason your body won't let some gain weight too often. Unless your eating foods high in seed oils, which cause cancer btw, if your not gaining weight, than who cares. Be happy you can be strong without cheating (excessive calories). Keep at it, your body will fill in what it needs to fill in if you keep working hard. Stay healthy, a little bit of size isn't worth the heart disease or cancer from forcing yourself to eat more than your body needs.
