You know what's the best worst thing about Bryan Callen and I love the guy. But you can't tell if this podcast is a joke or if it's serious even if it is called off limits , I have no idea.

Beware of anyone who’s actually achieved the state of ‘non-attachment’ when it comes to loved ones. The only ones capable of this have a ‘heart of stone’. They’re incapable of love so for them it’s easy, but for most humans - it’s impossible. It’s what some call a ‘cosmic joke’.

More than 20yrs ago I was asked what I believed happiness really was. And I said the following and wrote it on the dry-erase board which held it for several years until accidentally cleaned off. I said..."Happiness is the absence of desire."
I'm fucking brilliant. Really. Won't apologize for it anymore.

@@Adam_S4 Thank you. I lacked it for decades and felt obligated to undersell myself in an attempt to not make others around me feel small or in some way belittled by my intelligence. It served no one. Everyone lost. I became fearful of my own voice, and anyone I could've helped or made slightly smarter or even just perhaps able to see a different perspective were left wanting because I downplayed my given gifts. I will never do that again. I am certainly blessed with abilities most do not have, and yearn for people who leave me feeling ignorant and in need of even more knowledge. I do not want to place myself on a pedestal above anyone else in terms of worth, but we all have abilities afforded us and mine is wisdom.
