The fact that pride rock had this rehersed just in case Kovu messed up 😅
😂😂😂😂 They was hating on my nigga Kovu the entire movie. They definitely made a banger for his fuck ups
"Someone once lied to us , Now we're not so blind"
I think in this line their referring to Scar
Gotta remember, not too long ago the Pride suffered under Scar’s rule. Simba had to learn from an early age that not even some family can be trusted. Now older and someone’s interested in his daughter plus the ambush by the outlanders... he wasn’t having it.
Simba:"We are one!"
-20 minutes later-
Simba:"He is not one of us!"
Me:ಠ_ಠ
Well remember that hypocrisy is what Kiara tells him at the end to get him to realize he is being foolish
I’m his defense he always almost killed after finally trusting him and was led to believe kovu had led his back to meet them. 😂
i think about that one zebra on a daily basis
those zebras' already being turned into a buffet by the end of the movie
This song is ridiculously epic.
Get a bunch of friends together to try and sing it it's not easy.
Kira Lawlet Disney screwed up on a bunch od disney sequels. But this is not one of them
actingislife100
Very true this one is a nice gem and a worthy sequel.
Another sequel Rescuers down under is waaay better than the original.
blahblahblah Reviewer Well. Yea. Thats why I said they screwed up on a bunch of Disney Sequels. That also includes Mulan 2, The Jungle book 2, The Little Mermaid 2, The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 and the one I hate the most Pocahontas 2. This one is of course nothing compared to the original but it still was a great sequel
+actingislife100 I wasn't disagreeing with you I was adding to what you said.
coming to a family reunion be like.....
VantaeP but sometimes mom is like" your great aunt wants to see you! (Serious voice) You're coming."
"Born in grief, raised in hate, helpless to defy his fate." The truth of many people.
The point of This song is that they were wrong and no one's fate is unchangeable... smh
@@msjkramey I know right, they’ll harp on 1 lyric and think it’s so profound. The whole movie was to prove that you aren’t what your parents are/did.
hi nice to meet you my name is Sofia and my last name is almanza and guess what my school Exile me and I got scar on my face well I don’t have it anymore can I bee your friend?
Make yourself not helpless move wherever find whoever do what needs to be done to come out as a man...but I feel everybody will go threw deception and disgrace hopefully you can learn and pull yourself out!!

The hippo part is the funniest part but poor Kovu and poor Kiara.
Rather than gush about how much I loved everything in this song, I'm going to say the main reason I'm here: That Zebra.
That zebra is everything.
You keep singing Zebra. At least until you're hunted.
most dramatic song of my childhood.
I like how Kiara showed everyone at the end that everyone is equal and not different. all of the lions were the same. her father just couldn't get passed what his Uncle Scar did. but Kovu wasn't him.
Well it has been said to judge someone for their actions. Not their family's actions
True, but Simba has standing here. The movie makes him seem like a jerk for most of it, and sometimes he is, but there were multiple attempts on his life as well as his daughter’s. Keeping threats out of society isn’t bad. His character certainly isn’t perfect in the movie, but he isn’t just arbitrarily dividing the pride. Simba just wants to protect those he loves.
@@NKript Exactly. This should be obvious to anyone who's seen the first movie and why Scar's abuse and tyranny still affects Simba psychologically. He can't escape the memory of his uncle killing his father in cold blood, hence why he had that nightmare that he'd share a similar fate as his father. All he wants is not another repeat of Scar's rule. One thing everyone should know about Simba is how he always idolized Mufasa, and now that he's the king, he always tries to live up to his father's legacy. And after losing his father at such a young age, he still tries to ask his father for guidance on what to do with Kovu, since his daughter has the hots for him, but because of his ties to Scar, Simba understandably believes Kovu to be dangerous. We know Kovu wants to break away from Scar's legacy, but because of Zira training him to be an assassin, it's not easy.
"Let him run, let him live. But do not forget what we cannot forgive"
I love this part * - *
Some guys find Simba an unlikable character only because he banished Kovu. He actually had understandable reason to do that, he's afraid of Kovu because he's Scar's heir and Zira's son, Scar's most loyal follower, so it's clear that he thinks Kovu is evil like Scar and his mother Zira and would kill him in the same way Scar killed his father Mufasa as seen in Simba's nightmare scene. The moment of his father's death plays as factor here because Simba is scarred for that moment in all his life. But later Simba found out that Kovu isn't like his mother Zira or like Scar but a good person.
@@zzirfamo24 But it wasn't Kovu's fault. It was Zira's fault, and it was a trap set up by Zira. Nuka attempted to kill Simba, but failed. He ended up dying after a falling log crushed his ribs. He learned the hard way that Pride comes before a fall, and a haughty spirit before destruction.
"I'm sorry, Mother. I tried..."
- Nuka
That same scene reminds me of the death of Professor Jeffrey Radisson in God's Not Dead (2014). Rain was falling as Radisson was crossing the street when a car hit him and his ribs were crushed by the impact with the car. The only difference is Professor Radisson had more time to live after the impact before he died. A reverend came to Radisson's aid and said that God showed Mercy for Radisson. The Reverend told Radisson that "The impact would have killed Radisson instantly if not for Mercy." With his final breaths, Radisson accepted Christ as his Savior.
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts, Declares The Lord."
- Professor Jeffrey Radisson quoting Isaiah 55:9 to The Reverend
It turns out, Kevin Sorbo, the actor for Professor Jeffrey Radisson, is a Christian in reality, so it's no wonder he was in a Christian Movie. Sorbo also appeared in the 2011 Biopic, Soul Surfer.
@@bardthenascarfanaticdragon I know it wasn’t his fault lol, that’s why I said “it looked” like Kovu has him ambushed.
@@zzirfamo24 Pretty Much. Did you know that Nuka died due to his ribs being crushed by a falling log? That was a lot like Professor Jeffrey Radisson's death in God's Not Dead (2014).
Yeah, in a way, Simba had every right to be mad at Kovu, not because I think Kovu is bad, but because the trauma he had of scar and how Simba was fooled into thinking Kovu set him up was a BIG breaking point for Simba
best song in lion king 2 IMO...the tone, the chorus, the slight darkness in the song its all just so amazing
“He asked for trouble the moment he came” in that deep voice always shook my soul. That’s my favorite part 🙈
The only song in The Lion King sung by only the background characters.
They roasted Kovu soooo hard in this song. They to have been wrote this and waited for him to mess up. This ain’t no freestyle.
Simba goes from We are one to he is not one of us. Why Simba?
Fun fact: there was supposed to be a scene where Mufasa's ghost appears and chews Simba out about that, that hes losing his way, but the writers scrapped it.
Instead they have his daughter chew him out by saying just these simple words "You will never be Mufasa!"
Wow!! Im now 21years old and I still love this song. Its not even a song to relate to but I just love how they sang it. The co-ordination was awesome aswel. *Hands dow*
I know that this comment was 5 years ago but I'm 29 and I still love this song and We Are One. I love the second lion king so much.
It's a little clunky in the middle, but I understand it since you get the feel that they genuinely _hate_ Scar for taking advantage of them.
Like they hate him and everything related to him so much, they're justified in accidentally interrupting each other.
DISNEY MOVIES
Because what's worse than doing a mistake and everyone singing it infront of your face :D
Simba: We are on-
Kovu: *comes in*
Simba: *_NOT Y O U_*

My aunts: Deception, disgrace!

My aunts: She is not one of us!
Me: runs away like Flash
Nahhh that Zebra did NOT have to snap like that😭. Sis ate that shi up😭✋🏿.
*FINALLY* a disney sequel as great as the original movie!
Honestly I'd say even better. I never liked or cared for LK, but the sequel to me was better. More personal, smaller scale despite it having wide spread complications. Plus it felt far more original than the first. I also liked seeing Simba... you know actually be a king?
@@ItsScapeGoated the best part is simba is still learning in this movie. He’s not a perfect king. He’s just trying to protect his people.
-SIMBA: "We are more than we are, we are one!"
-SIMBA: "You're not one of us!"
He thought Kovu had set him up so Zira and her clan could murder him. He has a right to not trust him.
This is definitely one of the best Disney songs out there. No doubt about it
The evil deeds of scar transfered onto his son. It's only when you're older you realise that they never thrusted him from the start. --"For we knew he would do what he's done" (they were just waiting for him to mess up)

"he asked for trouble the moment he came."
This guy did. Had it not been for Simba, he'd just squish Kovu.
"Let him run"
"Let him live"
"But do not forget"
"What we cannot forgive"
Probably my family when the guest ate the last pizza slice
The vocals arrangement of this song is truly superb.
This part of the film made me cry soooo much as a kid lol poor kovu!
Same here. I watched it three times when I was younger and every time I see the scene, I would cry uncontrollably.
How long do I have to wait for someone like Penatonix, Lindsey Sterling, or anyone significantly more talented than I to make an awesome pimped out remix of this song?
Studio Accantus did a beautiful cover of the song. It's in Polish, but it's just as powerful as the English version.
He asked for trouble the moment he came..........and now he's paying child support. :(
Man, anyone else get chills while listening?
Someone once lied to us now we're not so blind
(Scar's reflection appears in the water)

this song is still a banger after all these years😍😍
" He asked for trouble the moment he came. "
Let's be honest, we call tried to sound like that bartione hippo.
But I also love the second verse double rhymes mixed in the song..
" He can't change his stripes, you know these outsider types! "
" Just leave us alone! Traitor, go back to your own. "

"He asked for trouble the moment he came."

Wow I never realized how Lion King 2 had a more powerful songtrack. The first one was more positive in a way, this one is darker and sadder.

"JUST LEAVE US ALONE!!" i swear i love that one lil sentence
Do you think the animals were SO consumed by their *HATRED* for the Outsiders,

cant believe im 17 soon to be 18, coming back to a song from a movie i watched when i was like, 5? this has got to be one of the most intense disney songs ive ever heard, the vocals and composition, especially the lyrics omg
Exactly this song is actually one of Disney movies best songs in my opinion. A lot of people forgot about this dramatic masterpiece
Kylo Ren's song.
I'm 13 (born 1999), and this was my favorite movie! I watched it with my best friend over and over again! And I could all the songs (in swedish then), and now I haven't seen Lion King for like six years and omg! I got like flashbacks or something, and I still remember the songs!
I have always been a Disney-nerd and I still am but I seems to be the only one who remember all the good movies before "Up", "Bolt", "Tangled", "The Princess & The Frog", etc. Nobody understand my feeling right now. ;_;
Is it bad that I used to sing this every-time I saw someone I knew was being told off and had disappointed someone? Boy, I got myself in so much trouble for it though 😅
@@jesseweneedtofast so is your thought process of feeling like you should say this. Mha isn’t, parts of the fandom is. Remember that.

This song is a masterpiece- lion king two has the best soundtrack
Bro the girl part of " he is not one of us" hits differently 😭👌😁
The one moment I was truly pissed at Simba.
lonertype kovu ended up leaving the outsider pack and ended up trying to prove he was on the good side, but simba ended up banishing him
I agree. Kovu is innocent. He had nothing to do with the ambush and it cost him his brother
@@kookiedough7992 well, to be fair, after the Scar stuff, it is completely normal for Simba to have trust issues. He didn't have a good relationship with Zira (knew she wanted him dead), so for her cub Kovu to suddenly bounce into his daughter's life, just didn't sit well with him. Simba's distrust was pretty damn well-founded considering Kovu really tried to kill him once. Then, just as he was warming up to Kovu, the ambush happened and Simba almost died, shattering whatever trust was built between them. Even if Kovi had come to genuinely love Kiara, Simba here was just trying to protect his kingdom from the Scar followers.
I absolutely love this song 😭💜❤️
I thought of my OTP the whole time this song was playing.
i prefer the french one (called trahison), but i prefer the lyrics here (not similar) :
"Born in grief, raised in hate, helpless to defy his fate ... but do not forget what we cannot forgive ! ... Someone once, lied to us, now we're not so blind "
(Né dans la douleur, élevé dans la haine, impuissant à défier son destin... N'oublions pas ce que nous ne pouvons pardonner ! ... Quelqu'un un jour, nous a menti, maintenant nous ne sommes plus si aveugles.) For Kovu and Scar ^^
