Reservoir Hogs - A View From the Tube, Western Manitoba

In this video, James Rogowy from A View From the Tube heads out to Western Manitoba in search of monster Black Crappie and Largemouth Bass. It doesn't take too long before we start figuring out how to catch these fish consistently.
Bait of choice for the Crappies was a 1/16 oz. jig head (yellow and pink we good choices) and a 3 inch Zoom Fluke in the natural minnow coloration. We found that if we shortened the Fluke to a 2 inch we were able to hook up more often. For the Largemouth Bass, spinnerbaits, crankbaits and topwater all seemed to produce.
One more additional comment, you will see the use of the Marcum Showdown in this video. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this unit. For the price and features that come included, you will be paying double or triple the cost for another unit with the same options. In fact, I love this flasher so much I bought a second one for my guests when I go fishing!

Markus Peters It's at Mary Jane Reservoir. I go fishing there all the time. Rarely catch fish in the lake. Usually go fishing in the pond in the other side of the dam!!
