I really love how the first song starts with a minute and a half of trap styled instrumentals before it slowly washes away to reveal the gothic synthesizers followed by a full-on gothic/darkwave beat on the next song, almost as if to signal a style change on this album to his audience
@@TheShortQuest farm? that song is great, the harmony "my love is on a plane", and the double verse "the earth spins red green black and gold", well done.
Bruh straight bangers i love how his rymes are complicated thats sum real music real hearr into it im dropping bangers too i wanna do a song with Wicca Phase Springs Eternal
WPSE I love your music, been listening since the Peep days, and your Tiger's Jaw stuff, but you should really hold off on pre-releasing the good tracks. The other ones were alright. Idk. I miss your old stuff, it felt more meaningful, the beats were solid and impactful. Your last album grew on me over time, but this one I'm not sure if that will happen. I hope that you release more music soon because I want more of the lifechanging songs like the ones from the Suffer On album, or "Life after Death (Stress Beyond Stress)"/ other singles. More acoustic stuff too. Whatever you were doing back then, it was true magic. When I was listening to this album, it ended and a recommended indie artist autoplayed afterwards. I hardly noticed the difference because they both sounded so generic. Maybe I'm just an old era fan and this will forever be your new style, but if you happen to read this, I just want you to know that people really love your older stuff. The Pay for Pain stuff was almost amazing.
Let it be better with each new release he will try something new than return to the past. Although, I agree, this release is more like indie music, but why not.
Suffer On . . . seems like it could have taken years of hard work and stress to achieve that one. It doesn't mean records afterwards won't be good, but Suffer On, & (maybe not as much) but even Secret Boy & Spiderweb leading up to it are definitely difficult ones to top. We still want to enjoy everything else he wants to put out regardless of being different. Maybe this and everything else after Suffer On will hit others the way Suffer On and previous records hit people like you and I. There are some bangers off this record regardless; I actually enjoy it more than Full Moon Mystery Garden. Looking forward to spinning my record of this one. Also; on top of Moving Without Movement (which is an obvious BANGER we've however all already heard); I'm enjoying the last 5 songs on this record. Thank you WPSE. GBC. Misery Club. TYBG
@@TheShortQuest The material is good for the most part, but there are problems with the sound, and Wikka went a little overboard with the sound, which is sometimes very louder than his voice. Open Portal doesn't sound as we would like, the demo sounded cooler, I listened to the 2021 demo 200 times, and I don't really want the new version. Well, in the second part of the WPSE song there is also a nitpick that his voice is somehow very far and behind the music, which does not fit very well. But Farm sounds as it should, where the remoteness of his voice fits organically with the melody.
@@GhostBoyGhoul Yeah when I got to the final 5 (after skipping the ones he had pre released) I was like OK time to soak in a solid 5 new songs. But they were reaaaaally generic sounding. Nothing got me hyped or thinking, just sort of background noise. I ofcourse want to enjoy every single thing he puts out. Nothing has to top other stuff. I like FMMG even though to me it's not better than his older stuff. But this is.... maybe lyrically good (although I haven't deep dived into that) but not much aside from that. Just disappointing to wait for so long and it just be meh. Hopefully he goes for real deep quality with whatever he puts out next. The experimental collabs have been flops. We need a return to form honestly. It's like he's lost his passion comparing now to around the time of Suffer On
