I was there :) That was my first big show in my life, in age of 9... I work as sound engenieer and light designer, maybe that gig was my first inspiration ;)
That beautifully surprized eyes of the girl at 6:01 says everything about the new world revealed in front of her in the communist suffered Hungary of the 80's.
MMEB entered an' would ever remain in the Mountain Hall of UK Rock! Great, enormous, strong an' unforgettable for anyone who has heard at least once...🤘🏻✌️🏻
Saw them a year or two later in Woking,(Yeah! Ulllaaa Chris Thompson!) at The Old Schoolhouse. First date of their World Tour believe it or not. This blew my mind.
hot rock song! looks wild middle-aged band, but awesome pop and... cute...? i don't remember their name in my country realtime, but we didn't have them featured, weird.
+Michael Pettinicchi Audio is almost certainly from another performance - either that, or they extensively 'fixed' the audio in the studio after the fact. Nice version of the song, though.
@László Gyurica , not to mention you had quite a rock scene back in the day. I remember having been mesmerised by Omega. It felt like real Pink Beatles in a Purple Zeppelin.
It was not banned but it was in the category of "in sufferance". Hungary had own rock bands even in that era. Some of them was not willingly supported by the national "cultural decision-makers" but this was an other story.
The footage was fucked up at some point so the audio was from another show, there's a lot of decay in other songs from this show. So the tape was messed up.
I can't think of many songs I hate worse than this one. This was the beginning of bad pop music. I love classic rock ,but 70's was the beginning of bad pop. 50's n 60's had no shit songs like this... Manfred Mann was worse than steely
Chris Thompson had one of the best Rock voices ever...
Bernie Ess similar characteristics of Phil Lynott
With you all the way ❤
This is one of the best musical arrangements every done.

Awesome
You start your career at age of 9?, how!??
That beautifully surprized eyes of the girl at 6:01 says everything about the new world revealed in front of her in the communist suffered Hungary of the 80's.
Yes it's more like eyes opened by the light of legendary musicians 😍
The greatest songs are those you never get tired of listening to. I've been listening to this so many times !
That makes it 45 years 😂
The Manfred Man lineup with Chris Thompson as the lead singer was probably the best of all!!! 🤔
That's real music
One of the best live performances ever.
66 ans et j'écoute toujours ❤❤❤
AND What can we do to have them back??
And Steve Wahler?? Great all of them!!!!
Not 1 song has been released this good nor will they anymore, since the 20th century!
Blinded by the Light!!!!
but mama, that’s where the fun is 🌞
Mate this was up on youtube about 10 years before you got into it
Blinded by light 🎶🎶🎶
Great solo at 4:00!
Absolutely. Just a shame the video does not sync up. I'd love to learn this...

Excellent solo de Steve Waller et vocal superbe de Chris Thompson, toute ma jeunesse. 😉🎸👍
Absolutely Mantastic. love MMEB especially with Chris. Please play the UK Manfred
Прекрасная музыка. Талантливый коллектив. 2019 год...мне 47 лет...слушаю в авто в составе сборника из трёх альбомов MMEB.

Great album
ott voltam a felvételkor,szenzációs volt,igazi ZENE...
Such a contrast from the Midnight Special performance. ‘80’s vs ‘70’s.
you are right. such a difference. I am more partial to the Midnight Special version, I guess.
Oh, just found out it is written by Bruce Springsteenm I didn´t know that. But this rock song is legendary❣
Dichosos los que estuvieron aquí!!!
Our band Phaedra opened for them at Alex Cooley’s Electric Ballroom in Atlanta mid 70’s.
Прекраснпя вещь! Спасибо!
🖤
how was this song not in boogie nights?
I have that on vinyl & cassette with bonus tracks. - Is there a dvd?
That's Manford Man on the keyboards
Sa me rapelle south africa 1998
RIP Steve Waller
❤️
The Guitar moves me
6:26 Manfred Mann sings
hot rock song!
looks wild middle-aged band, but awesome pop and... cute...?
i don't remember their name in my country realtime, but we didn't have them featured, weird.
Mannfred Mann (the keyboard player) had already played in the 60th. This is one of his later groups.
top
Hatalmas buli volt!!!!!!!
Kulu Sti. 🥳
✌️
😇
I like the solo, but is there stock footage in this? The notes dont really match up to the clips during the solo.
+Michael Pettinicchi Audio is almost certainly from another performance - either that, or they extensively 'fixed' the audio in the studio after the fact. Nice version of the song, though.
It seems as if the original video was damaged after the last "blinded by the light," hence the jump cut.
Sound is so light can't hear and that is with headphones for god's sake let us hear the music.
What guitar Steve waller use? She s so cute!!!
Hagstrom Swede
5:35 Chopsticks
I don't care what anyone says, for me it will always be "wrapped up like a douche"
Where is the love?
Does anybody know what - if anything - the lyrics are about? I love this song, but the lyrics sound rubbish
@Jeff Baker Ok, that explains the incoherent lyrics
@@HateIronMaiden Go see the Bruce Springsteen video where he discusses the song and why he wrote it and what it was about, it’s on UA-cam.

:D
Hey Bon soir *****
Solo and video do not match up AT ALL but the rest of the video does with everyone else...why would they play a recording over him?! LOL
the solo is not what is being showed in this cut.
Was this an underground concert? Because I would've thought that rock music was banned in Hungary during the communist era.
lot of bands played Budapest in the 80's ,its how we won the cold war :)
@László Gyurica , not to mention you had quite a rock scene back in the day. I remember having been mesmerised by Omega. It felt like real Pink Beatles in a Purple Zeppelin.
1967. 07. 07.: Spencer Davis Group
1986. 07. 26.: Queen

Gotta love the US educational system and culture...ha
The lead guitar solo was out of sync
Right. Backing Track?
No idea. But something is amiss.
The footage was fucked up at some point so the audio was from another show, there's a lot of decay in other songs from this show. So the tape was messed up.
Fake live video! That sucks like a lot!!!
democratic debate
Get your ears checked mate 😂

We can all tell you’re obviously a Harvard graduate. Get a life
