A Classical trained person can sing any type of music...as he/she knows how to project voices with different ways & he/she can also use various elements of ornamentations(alankars) of music like Gamaks ,Murkis ,Meends ,Zamzamas ,Khatkas ,Taan ,Laykari ,etc. But a non-classical trained person cannot sing all types of music ....but yes if he/she practices all these types of ornamentations or learns basics of classical music then it can be possible....anyways we must learn our Indian Classical Music as it is our rich culture......whether it is Hindustani or Carnatic.
