    Good morning Will, I enjoyed the video. A good friend of mine here in Jersey has a cord king processor. Sounds like he likes it. He’s had it for a year or so now he paid me to go pick it up for him up in northern New York over a year ago and for a couple months, I was over at his house on the weekends helping him feed the processor and keep the conveyor clear. Those things can really pump out some serious cordage, and a hurry.

      Yeah they do. It's wild how fast they cut through wood. They can make the wood I sell in a year in a couple hours. It was great meeting you!

    I definitely liked that Repeater and the Kindling King as well.

      You're welcome! It definitely is. I don't sell kindling but there are many that do. It's always a process to produce.

      I spoke to Cord King about it and a second log lift can be added. I don't know how much but I will find out for you.

    Interesting machine 👍 It looks like it has a lot of off the shelf parts so repairs should be manageable

      It definitely is built well. It will be easy to service all the filters are really easy to get to on all of Cord Kings machines. One of the things st stood out immediately to me.

    If you play the video at double speed, it's still slow.

    • @wolcottfamilyworks
      @wolcottfamilyworks  8 місяців тому +1

      With the 13.5 Briggs it definitely seems a little slow. I'm really interested to see it run with the 23hp Vangard and a higher flow pump.

      Couldn't agree more Huck and something different. The repeat function is incredibly cool. I haven't seen anything like it, being able to throw a round in and go grab a couple more reduces the amount of man power needed to keep it fed.

      @@wolcottfamilyworks Yes for sure the optional larger engine will help.

    Definitely needs a bigger gas or diesel engine.

      23hp Vangard with a 28gpm pump is an option. Would be interesting

      Seems weak an slow....@wolcottfamilyworks

    • @wolcottfamilyworks
      @wolcottfamilyworks  5 місяців тому

      @rogerl8488 I don't disagree with you on speed, but from a weak/strength point, it definitely isn't weak. With the conveyor taking fluid to run from the pump when it went into the low flow side of the pump, it really slowed down the splitter. They have rectified this now and have added a dedicated pump to run the conveyor.

    Somewhat toylike in it's performance compared to the Raptor made in New Zealand by Steel and Wood and the Wedgetail made in Australia by Wedgetail Machinery.

    • @wolcottfamilyworks
      @wolcottfamilyworks  8 місяців тому +1

      The 13hp motor is definitely the limiter I think. A higher flow pump and higher hp motor would definitely speed things up.

      It's more the pull back mechanism that is the slowest and clunkiest part I reckon. The 2 I mentioned have springs to hold the blocks in place so that they aren't falling down at random.

    • @wolcottfamilyworks
      @wolcottfamilyworks  8 місяців тому

      Ah missed your point there. Yeah all of the box wedge splitters I have seen in person exactly as you said is an issue. I haven't seen much on the Raptor or Wedgetail I am going to look into them. Thank you!

      Okay just a little youtube search and I see exactly what you mean. That is really slick. Pinching the round between the push plate and pull back arm then release. Thank you for pointing me in that direction!

    Ouch, mine was $600ish. To be fair, idk what Dad pd for the tractor. 😅. Thanks for showing something different. But of course, most of the guys went to Indiana. Unbelievable how fast those blades zing thru thise logs. Know the rpms?
