I think I have gotten as far as I can with the Nepal map. I have not experienced any crashes yet (PC version). However, two of the missions are bugged (Low Land and The Hills) and I need to find another small male Thar (I got 2 of 3 already) but they are very hard to find, most are medium and large. And I need to harvest one of each of the 5 different fur types of the water buffaloes, but the game only seems to spawn grey and brown ones (no black, orange or albino) for now. I had no big issues with the snow leopards for the missions. I have the impression that the console version of CotW is not identical with the Steam version, which is crazy. The two bugged missions contain objects at location markers which you don't get credited for if you happen to select them in the wrong order. Which means you don't get the money and you can't complete the missions. This is not a new problem and I fear it will never get fixed. I also fear that if there are missions that require the completion of those bugged missions, I will never get to play them. The tigers keep jumping me, but I'm starting to figure out the behavior pattern. If you hear them growling, you need to take immediate action. I was in the middle of the 50 Nilgai antelope mission and I used the trusty 7.62 rifle for harvesting them. I also used it on a tiger once, it worked, but shot placement is critical. The tiger has some special behavior too, I chased a wounded one for at least 500m when it confronted me. I was ready and put another 3 shotgun slugs into it before it collapsed. The stories write themselves in this game. :)
@@onesky8647 wait. I don't have a mission to harvest the 5 fur variations of buffalo. Might be because my 3 landmark missions are bugged. I honestly gave up on the under 90kg Tahr, only managed one so far and then they trolled me,several 75 to 95 estimate weight that were just over 90. So gave up. I am just grinding tigers for rares basically. I hate this map, I am a roamer, and the dense vegetation and step terrain makes it thst most of the times you can't see beyond your nose. I use the hyperion zoomed out to locate the tigers when they are stalking you. Sometimes I die, sometimes they do,sometimes we both do if I use the Sundberg 454. Is a matter of visibility again what makes me use one weapon or the other when I hear the growl. But basically now just grinding for rares, running out of patience though. Is boring.
@@HuntressGamer The 5 buffaloes mission is called "Bubalic Collection" from Birendra Majhi. It may be a mission that triggered suddenly when I reached a certain region on the map or a specific time after completing an earlier quest, of course I don't remember any details now, it's been too long. The Yaks were a bit of a problem for me. Too skittish. I managed to complete a mission that required a golden rating just because the animals did not seem to register my precence due to another bug. Hey, if it saves me a few hours of running around, I'll take it. lol I'm also close to giving the map a rest until the next update. There are some open areas in the upper regions located on slopes, if you place a tripod in there, you have a 360 degrees view and can hunt that way, it works, but it's not very challenging.
@@onesky8647 Humm. I only got active the 3 landmark mission and the Tahr. Probably buffalo following one of those 3. Thanks. I moved all my tents to tiger grind and once I am fed up I go back to Yukon,Africa or Medved. Love roaming those maps
@@HuntressGamer I managed to find another small Thar yesterday. It was very close at a weight of 89.57kg. So I'm down to finding those rare buffaloes now.😅
