Killing your peers and teachers without hesitation at the age of 14 is more than frightening.
And then politely responding “Yes, sir” in court, demonstrating you _can_ understand social norms, you just choose to ignore them.

Children are not allowed to own guns.
My father bought my older brother and I semiautomatic .22 rifles when I was twelve. Luckily I was born good because that's a lot of firepower for a kid. There's plenty of good kids and they each deserve safety and a guarantee of safety. Otherwise what are we doing here? (Except pretending and fooling no one for nothing.
That’s an absolute lie. To legally own a gun. You have to get a license. A minor cannot legally own a gun. The fact that his father gave him one doesn’t make it legal.

I understand parents never want to think the worst of their children but you have to be realistic and WATCH your child’s actions, behaviors, and words. Murder doesn’t have a statute of limitation. Will all 416 school shootings in the USA since Columbine (April 1999) be up for review of the parent’s involvement in their child, the school shooting murderer? Will the students and teachers who survived the 416 school shouting be able to civilly sue the families if the parents are found guilty for the gun violence trauma that some have lived with for 25 years? Honest question coming from someone who expended school gun violence.
@@_Nat_A_ the parents of school shooters being charged in the case of the Crumbleys set a precedent for similar cases moving forward but not for cases which have already concluded their criminal investigations and trials. Criminal case law cannot be applied retroactively. In the case of Columbine specifically, the individuals who supplied the weapons were actually convicted of illegally possessing and supplying weapons to minors. The parents did not supply the weapons used so the Crumbley case probably wouldn't apply. Civil suits are different and I'm sure students, parents, and teachers affected could sue the parents of school shooters on a number of different grounds, but it would require a lot of financial and emotional resources. These survivors probably just wish to move on with their lives and don't want to get caught up in a draining court battle. I hope that answers your questions!

You would think after a conversation with the FBI, the parent would have locked up current weapons and made sure his son had NO access to new weapons. You would think that he would have also enrolled his son in some type of mental health program. This could have possibly been avoided. Poor parenting. . .
@conseervativelens He was trying to make a man out of a boy instead of paying heed to the FBI.
I keep thinking how much some prisoners are going to enjoy meeting that blond, fluffy-haired boy.
won't be be in juvie?
He will be in a juvenile facility
A son paying the price of his fathers/mothers FAILURES. they couldve prevented this all!!!!!! THEY ARE THE PARENTS 😮
Mom divorced dad about year ago and she herself got locked up for domestic violence, meth
@@KimScroggs the adults failed this kid. Now many lives are ruined. It’s awful.
Have no words😢😢😢
Why is the father rocking back & forth, building a defense, make ppl feel sorry for him? Good luck.
He’s devastated. I don’t think it’s for show. I’d say he’s at risk of suicide.
180 yrs judge is an ass for allowing these charges.
That's how he tries to calm himself. It's possible he doesn't even notice him doing it.
Usually a sign of some mental problem.
He seems mentally instable and disturbed as his son.
📢 - The arrest of Colt Gray's father, Colin - should send a clear WARNING ⚠️ to ALL parents who have a troubled teen & keep weapons in their homes; locked 🔒 up or not!!! Perhaps like the Michigan parents who are now in prison for their son's actions, and, Colin Gray's arrest - if I were a parent THIS would indeed be my WAKE-UP call 🤔‼️
Enjoy your beloved 2nd amendment, everybody.
The Second Amendment does not have to do with malicious intent. The Second Amendment would apply to the man or woman who stopped the gunman and protected the rest of the students.
@@bradenevans514 yeah, keep telling yourself that.
@@bradenevans514nobody needs a weapon of war.
Buying an assault weapon for your 14 year old son is way past the 2nd amendment.
Exactly !! Ban guns .. is complete BS
This 100% could’ve been prevented.
One look at him and you know this is a parent who screwed up his mind listening to radio hosts of a particular party.
What a fucked up statement, your ignorant
What about the mom????
I read they are in the middle of a divorce and she took 2 of their other children and lives somewhere else.
When when when are we going to start taking threats seriously? How many of these shooters literally have said what they are going to do and then go do it? This has always been about mental health and complacency with threats.
No, it’s always been about gun “rights” and having a lust for firearms in our country. No gun safety laws, no common sense gun laws. No MAGA or GOP politician will sign any legislation for either. There, I solved it for you..
All of them give away their violent thoughts
@@KohalaLover no it’s the mental health of the person holding the gun. Guns don’t just start murdering. People do, so yes gun laws won’t work.
@@alexanderk19871 Why the f would you know whether 🔫 laws work? They work in Canada, Japan, Europe & most of Asia. Sick of 🔫 nuts never accepting truth about our wicked obsession with 🔫.
when this came out, I was literally telling my husband what I think is going to happen in regards to him being young, him having access to guns, and he probably made a threat before. I also said “watch it be the parents dismissiveness of previous threats that led to this and they’ll go to prison.” It’s getting predictable at this point.
Parents are always(or 99% of the times)are dismissive of their children's antics. But what about the cops who interviewd him?
Mr. Gray. He is freaking 14 YEARS OLD!! These babies are killing babies. This is absolutely horrific!!
Babies are babies. Teenagers are teenagers.
@Lee-t1v at 14 they're still very much a child. Does teens killing teens make it more palettable for you?
Going to be tried as an adult.
@whathappenedtomyYThandle it's sad no matter how you look at it.
Fourteen is hardly a baby. Parents need to stop coddling their children and raise responsible adults. Also how about giving them morals and accoutability.
where the hell is the mother in all this
She was in jail.
@@loriknight6993Oh wow, what a family.
