    Are you sure you are not paid by FedEx? The UPS truck is organized correctly. We are not compensated based on any productivity results, we are paid based on what is believed we should be able to hold in a P1000 truck at mass capacity with mass stops. DRO is off more than the old projections we were given at 3 PM the previous day, There are things that I want to like about eTruckBiz, but listening to talks like this only makes it feel more that I am a regional manager that carries all the liabilities and paid at entry level wages. And I am a Gold contractor, what ever that means.

      We have no affiliation with FedEx - Our role is to provide software and operational support to help FedEx CSP's run more profitably based on the terms of their contracts. We understand that there are differences in how FedEx and UPS handle operations, and truck organization is a great example. Many FedEx drivers spend time organizing their trucks both before leaving the building and during the day, while UPS drivers are not permitted to do so. Both systems have their challenges since package loading is done manually in both cases, and package handlers are seldom perfect in the driver's eyes.
      As for tools like DRO, we encourage thinking of them as one piece of a larger strategy. Many of our clients find success using delivery trends to anticipate volumes and make adjustments proactively, which can reduce reliance on any single tool. We also offer DRO coaching to help contractors make the best use of this tool.
