None of us should be used as a whipping boy for a narcissist who won’t fix their shit.
When I was 50 with one semester left to complete my masters degree I evicted an abuser from my home as he made my life miserable and was incapable of supporting my journey in any way.
Long story short, he came back Memorial Day weekend in 2012 and beat me with brass knuckles fracturing my skull, causing internal injuries and to add insult to injury he shoved an object down my throat puncturing my airway.
I’m still dealing with the physical damage and it took many years to recover mentally from the trauma.
My last ( and separate) heartbreak was what finally thrust me into a deeper spiritual journey and finding the love of self and self care.
It was hard and anyone who says otherwise is full of crap .
I imagine you have had to block and eliminate many friends and family members but once you get to a place of peace and are able to rely on discernment and intuition you guard it fiercely and become VERY selective about who you share any of your time and energy with.
