I was born and brought up in Hamilton, but I have never seen the cottage. I joined the army 41 years ago, but travelled back and forward every year to see my family. We never got took by the school or, we never went down into the wooded area, it was too spooky. Maybe on my next trip up......my last I’ll see it then!
The Hamilton are my ancestors. Jane Hamilton married Hugh Montgomery (Montgomerie). Jane's father was James H. Hamilton born in 1638 in Scotland. My 7x great grandmother immigrated to the US in the early 1700s and was killed in Abbeville, SC, in 1760. We still remain in South Carolina.
