Lounges also have comedians perform. I remember being in a Windenberg lounge, I think I was on a date, and there were rarely any other sims at this lounge. I'm not sure that more than one or two sims were ever in there besides my sim and their date, so the comedian would sometimes perform for no one in a mostly empty room, so that was depressing alongside the lounge itself not being all that well decorated. lol
@@pathogenofdecay Fair point, I suppose. It's not necessarily music you'll get in a lounge. I guess the real distinction is that in a lounge, you only have seating for patrons, but in a night club you usually get a dance floor as well. I'm sure the real-world definitions are very slippery and not used very strictly or consistently, though.
And irl dance clubs can get to be wild woohoo spots too. But there's always variations on all of them where there's a hot tub lounge, etc. And I feel like lounge is most likely to feel like a vegas kitschy theme bar.
Honestly, I feel like the sims team should go back to the older packs and update them rather than keep adding more stuff, just imagine if they took more inspiration from VTM, or if the vampires had more lore regarding a secret world like the spellcasters have. AAAAND btw fgg should make one build for each of the VTM clans...just saying

Spinning Plumbobs literally just released the trailer for the expanded PlantSims mod pack that they made and if they can give us fairies and better mermaids, they can bring more lore and excitement to the occults.

I wish vampires had the feature similar to new werewolves. Werewolves are prone to having burst of anger that forces them to transform, so I think new vampires should have outburst where they are unable to control their thirst and attack random sims. Only after you gain skill level are they able to control themselves better.
There is a similar feature! If your vampires thirst gets too low and you don't do anything about it they'll uncontrollably drink from a nearby sim, you need to level up and get the tamed thirst thing (I think lol) to get it not happen
@@AbhijaiSinghayeah that's exactly how it works. My whole Sims family is freak. Vampire base with other occult Sims mixed in and the low level vampires uncontrollably drink and you have to unlock a perk to get them to control their thirst .
as others said, the framework for this is already in game, it's just that you don't have a visible meter as you do with werewolves and it takes so long that you need some patience and, if you're used to care for your sims' needs and mood, conscious effort. but it could certainly be dialed up, maybe with an opt out to keep the current state in the options menu. most likely won't happen, but we can dream.
I have a mother and child daughter vampires that live in Forgotten Hollow, and I have the mod that lets child vampires actually be vampires like Sims 2 used to have, and after the sun goes down I send them to visit some house with a family, the mom feeds off the adults and her daughter feeds off any children they might have, and feeding off Sims actually does fill the hunger more than the plasma fruit. So the vampires in my game are a bit more scary cause some vampire child might feed off of someone.
I must say, as soon as you said this was inspired by Clan Toreador the whole build just made sense to me. Yep, this is definitely a Toreador's property, they're very proud of it, they're most definitely Predator Type Siren and use this place to hunt pretty people, and you can be very sure their haven is not that far from here (and it's also the most beautifully creepy place you've ever seen). I'll be sure to come back should you ever decide to build that.
Bar vs. Lounge vs. Nightclub: It's mostly about the vibes. Bars are basically a place you can drink in public legally. They might have a dance floor, but the attraction is the drinks. Bars can have a variety of music depending on the area and crowd. You're also more likely to find snacks, TV, and games (pool, etc.). TS4: Sims like to talk more in bars. A Lounge is going to be more relaxed. Get a drink. Listen to some (softer) music. Maybe some jazz/live music. Geared towards adults, but like, fancy rich adults. Lounges may also have food, but it's more likely to be bougie food, depending on the area. TS4: You'll get more elders/adult sims. A nightclub is about drinking and dancing. High energy and loud. Don't expect snacks, but there might be something. Attractive to young adult. More likely to have a bouncer. Nightclubs will rarely play anything more than a decade old, and it's usually Hip-hop, pop, remixes, techno, etc. TS4: They're going to be more active at night (compared to bars and lounges that will spawn sims if an active sim is there regardless). Sims also prefer dancing at nightclubs over everything (drinking, chatting, etc.).
I never play with vampires in the Sims but based on my knowledge of Vampires in most media wouldn't having windows on the top floor also be a dumb idea? Although I'm guessing vampires can just go out in the middle of the day too since days and nights are so short in the Sims. 🤷♀️

A bar is where you go to get drinks, but there's generally no obligation to dance or interact with others. You might wanna watch the game, play games, eat snacks, but the center is on the drinks. It's attractive to college-aged and older (usually middle-aged). There are also cigar bars. Think man cave or stuff you might do in the den. A nightclub is where you go to dance and mingle, you might have drinks, and there usually isn't really any food, the music is loud, and the seats tend to be limited. The focus is on the music. The fancier clubs like neon lights. The crowd tends to be young folk (although there are teen and Christian clubs). Think party. A lounge usually has cushy seating, not so hype music, and sometimes food, usually finger foods, or there can be hookah smoking. There tends to be live music sometimes, but the vibe is to chill, relax, and mingle a little. Think "arelaxing evening chilling with friends." The age tends to be adult or older (grown folk). The music isn't as loud as a club, and there tends to be no TV's or games like at bars. More upscale. Even if you don't dance, drink or smoke, it's still a chill vibe.
Nice idea. I have always wondered why Vlad isn't more advanced in vampire skills. I've had other vampires spawn into my games with more skills. That is my only complaint about the sims4 vampires.
I theorize in terms of Vampire: The Masquerade, the blood essentially gets broken down into quintessence (to use the Mage term) to fuel the vampire's life and powers. It probably hangs out in their body until they need it, which is why their tears and stuff are blood. All supernaturals have different patterns, but they're all fundamentally fueled by quintessence, even if they get it through different methods. That's why Nodes, Freeholds, Caerns, etc. can fuel any of the living supernaturals. Vampires have to get it a different way due to their curse.

Amazing build! I've recently listened to Interview With The Vampire and The Vampire Lestat and this lounge fits the vibe. :D I should probably also look into Vampire The Masquerad - everything you've told about it sounds interesting!
Vampire the masquerade is hella fun, never played the board games but played bloodlines and waiting for bloodlines 2. That rant of vampires and then not going out so not knowing the difference with some public buildings is such a mood. Also I wouldn't be afraid of vampires irl in modern times, they would no longer go hunting they would go partying and find the freaky people that would love to bed fed on.
The fact that in the Sims 2, they can be upset over a deleted object is one of my favorite details, and it works because Sims actually have relationships with objects coded into the game! It’s the same reason ghosts often go back to their old beds and cheer when it’s still there, or sims missing an object when it’s stolen by a burglar. The game uses this in place of something like the Sims 4’s bed assignment system, because it makes the sim recognize something as belonging to them. It’s a really subtle and sophisticated system going on in the background!
I’m SO glad there is someone else who doesn’t have that appeal for clubs and drinking as well! My first time going to the club I ended up leaving right after I walked in to go home and watch Disney movies because the club was too loud and crowded
I already did a functional version of a build for the 910 Medina Studios apartment, based on a non-functional build recreation someone else did that was a full version of the first apartment from the VtM; Bloodlines game. It's... downright uncomfortable to look at... and I love it. My Nosferatu lives there.
Oh, my favorite TTRPG toon was a Toreador.... this was way back in the pre-internet days when you had to buy the books to play. My gorgeous lady had a special fascination with drinking from the lower regions of her prey/lovers. This club is PERRFECT!!!
this reminded me that i did build our coterie's home in sims4 when we were playing that game, and making everyone as sims. it was fun! our game took place in the 70s in LA, so it was very glamourous
As soon as you used the rose wallpaper I was like TOREADORS lmao I feel seen with the VtM vampires being your fav because same, I cannot be normal about that game, I have 2 tattoos inspired by a fucking RPG and I'm planning to get more dhgsfj I am in love with this build and also wish there was a separate lot type for vampire gatherings aa
I won't lie. I had a moment where I went "wow this building is really dark" just for me to realize my screen's brightness was all the way down... Anyways, nice build 👍
omg, i didn't know the older sims had vampire lounges!! but in the lagacy challenge im writing for The Sims 4, one of the generation's goal is to create a lounge where vampires hang out. I haven't tested this out how exactly it would work yet, with your sims not being able to own an actual lounge lot type. but 😍 yes ❤ vampire lounges are fun
I haven't played Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines buttttttt my favorite vampires are the ones in Buffy cause it's a demon inside them making them a vampire and they have a creepy demon looking face when they want to feed on blood. Them turning into dust when the sun touches them or they get staked is a nice touch too. Having to be invited into a building before they can enter is also a super underused bit of lore most vampire media doesn't include and it was funny how they played on it using welcome mats as an open invitation and how the only way to uninvite a vampire in was basically doing a whole protection ritual.
I missed the date already to post, and I was building something that was gonna be probably off-prompt, but I wanted to comment what it was, and maybe find out thoughts: a flying saucer vampire house, with a blend of futuristic alien and old-times vampire, inspired by the concept of Lesbian Vampires from Outer Space (as taken from the song by the Scary Bitches)
As an archaeologist i'd love it if one of my friands was a vampire. Just picture it : factchecking every hypothesis about the past with someone who litteraly lived the past. A vampire = a must have in your research team.
OOOO SHIT THIS IS MY PERFECT BUILD PROMPT...FUCK Also I think the whole 'do they maintain a digestive system' depends on your lore. If they're actually subsisting biologically off of blood, then yes, they should maintain functional digestion. But if the consumption of blood is more of a 'consumption of life-sustaining liquid', like it is in VTM and even Sims 4, then no, there's probably nothing left. Traditionally vampires are walking corpses, and the consumption of blood and the hunger is less of a 'i need to absorb and cycle calories through my system' and more of 'i am a creature of nightmares that is forever caught in a singular moment through the theft of the life of others'.
Completely unrelated to Sims SAME. i do not drink because it makes me sleepy not ready to party. But also, yeah tried to be a club person…realized I wasn’t and am happier. Also stopped trying to find the ‘fun’ in alcohol and am happier. Thanks for making me feel seen. 😂 But exact opposite of you, if I invest in a build its community lots. I always download random houses off the gallery and the fix them up or change them as needed for my sim. Never build them. But a Community lot. Will invest for hours
That's a lot of mirrors for vampires lol (although I cannot honestly remember if in vampire the masquerade they had a reflection.. but the mirrors do seem to fit clan)
Same. I'd probably drink alcohol like most people do if didn't taste so bad and I really don't like carbonated drinks in general. The only alcohol I drink is the toast at parties😂
I also don't know the difference between a nightclub, a bar and a lounge I can only assume the difference comes from the vibe of the music playing. If it's dance music, it's a nightclub. If it sounds like old-timey lofi, it's a lounge, and if it sounds like an old radio station, it's a bar
I have an idea Do a pharmacy/clinic for new vampires. They get given fresh blood, cringe pamphlets for how to hunt humans and steal it from hospitals. I'm writing a vampire novel set in the modern day and it's one of my settings
When you were that one kid who did not want to be an adult and were slamming on the brakes as hard as you could through your whole childhood (but you still grew up, and yeah it’s as little fun as you were expecting 😅). Also, am I the only one who misses how Sims 3 vampires could do CONSENSUAL neck biting with their lovers? (And they also licked their lips afterwards which was just weirdly cute to me!). And yeah, I miss the vampire lounges too. I was always sending my fairies in to find vampire mates, because fairy x vampire couples were my favorites! ❤️
If someone I knew were a vampire I would ask these questions: 1. What was history like 2. How much blood do they need to drink 3. Do they know any hot vampires
I'm an Ann Rice vampire fan, but also a Bram Stoker vampire fan.... Twilight vampires\kid friendly vampires can take a very long walk off a very short pier.
I could never play my game ever again without the "vampires can kill" mod. It just makes everything so much better. What's the point in living as a vampire if I'm only able to just gentle hizz around at people and meditate? duhhhhh nothingggg, gimme that sexy, slaughtery drama Sims 🧛🔥🌚
My biggest issue with the vampires pack is that it's Victorian themed... Probably one of the most iconic architectural styles in the world and it is criminally underused on just 4 lackluster lots that inevitably get replaced alongside the empty one every playthrough. The vampires themselves I think are fine aside from the tediousness of trying to run a family of them rather than just one or two at a time.
I wish that humans would freak out and scared when they see vampires in their dark form instead of their human form. And they should have an option for vampires to reveal their dark forms to those they trust in on their secret. It would also be cool if vampires have a certain limit to how long they can be in their human form and that it would drain their dark energy the longer they are in it. Also I hate it when I had my vampire sims try to secretly drink blood and wiping the human sims’ memory, only for people to still know about that they drink… it toro all ruins the immersion of trying to live a secret life as a vampire
i would really love that a sim should get terrified after seeing a vampire sucking somebody blood, but they just don't care, they walk away like it's normal
Can you please make a video like this about spellcasters/witches? I loved witches in Sims 3. The outfits, the spells/charms/curses, different wands having different benefits, the more magic set that came with a voodoo doll, crystal ball, and book of spells for MORE SPELLS with their own limitations. The overall vibe, world, and objects for witches in Sims 3, and Sims 2 was top tier. But realm of magic completely missed the witchy mark. I mean they’re not even called witches. I hope that the eventually go back and refresh vampires and realm of magic because they are both good, but they are missing a lot of core elements in my opinion.
Me getting called out every speed build Saturday for being That Guy who is listening while playing games on my other screen.😶 I'm gonna keep doing it though. 😂 I promise I watch the montage at the end lol.
It depends on *what vampire* in *what lore* your looking at, most vampires love being vampires. Its cannon in most vampire media that the older vamps are entitled, classist, egotistical, and have a superiority complex thousands of years long. Its only the few and far between (usually main characters) that are "morally" against the notion, because of the species-ist old fart, causing harm, or a deep sense of loss. To give the characters more depth and add an antagonist. Personally wouldnt mind being a vampire, depending on the lore. I dont like the taste of blood as a human, but from all forms of vampires I've seen the taste and draw of blood changes entirely after you turn. The only thing that makes it hard is humanities preconceived notions.

Also I wouldn't be afraid of vampires irl in modern times, they would no longer go hunting they would go partying and find the freaky people that would love to bed fed on.
HEY FAKEGAMERGIRL I LOVE YOU SO MUCH THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU AND YOU KEEP DOING GREAT THINGS!!!!
Fakegamergirl is the best singer ever, I listen to this theme song on repeat, it's on the top of my playlist and is my favourite song of all time
The fact that in the Sims 2, they can be upset over a deleted object is one of my favorite details, and it works because Sims actually have relationships with objects coded into the game!
A lot of the exterior is giving the vibes of Deacon Frost's home/hangout from Blade. Very sleek and modern with bright lights.
Please never go to therapy you're my favourite insane youtuber
Oh, my favorite TTRPG toon was a Toreador.... this was way back in the pre-internet days when you had to buy the books to play. My gorgeous lady had a special fascination with drinking from the lower regions of her prey/lovers. This club is PERRFECT!!!
I love the round bar! This build is PEAK vibes!
this reminded me that i did build our coterie's home in sims4 when we were playing that game, and making everyone as sims. it was fun! our game took place in the 70s in LA, so it was very glamourous
this might be one of your best builds i really really like it good job
As soon as you used the rose wallpaper I was like TOREADORS lmao
I feel seen with the VtM vampires being your fav because same, I cannot be normal about that game, I have 2 tattoos inspired by a fucking RPG and I'm planning to get more dhgsfj
I am in love with this build and also wish there was a separate lot type for vampire gatherings aa
The Bar - Nightclub - Lounge part was ON POINT. 😂
What We do in the Shadows tv show is great 👍 i made them and put them in the gallery
I won't lie. I had a moment where I went "wow this building is really dark" just for me to realize my screen's brightness was all the way down...
Anyways, nice build 👍
I've actually built a vampire nightclub that looks like a broken down cemetery. 😁
omg, i didn't know the older sims had vampire lounges!! but in the lagacy challenge im writing for The Sims 4, one of the generation's goal is to create a lounge where vampires hang out.
I bought a cat today!
Congrats on your new overlord!
You bought it with money? You know that’s really bad right. You should’ve adopted one
Finally a can drink tea!! Thx for video 🤩
I'm gonna start a save file in windenburg where all the different parts of the map are for a different occult. (Vampire, Spellcaster, and Werewolf)
I have a vampire legacy save (that branched off of a spellcaster legacy 😅) that has gotten too spread out. Taking over Windenburg is genius!
this is such a good build!!!!❤
I missed the date already to post, and I was building something that was gonna be probably off-prompt, but I wanted to comment what it was, and maybe find out thoughts: a flying saucer vampire house, with a blend of futuristic alien and old-times vampire, inspired by the concept of Lesbian Vampires from Outer Space (as taken from the song by the Scary Bitches)
obsessed w this build
As an archaeologist i'd love it if one of my friands was a vampire. Just picture it : factchecking every hypothesis about the past with someone who litteraly lived the past. A vampire = a must have in your research team.
2:57 a hate comment (np ❤)
OOOO SHIT THIS IS MY PERFECT BUILD PROMPT...FUCK
Also I think the whole 'do they maintain a digestive system' depends on your lore.
The Vattore's built this 100%
Your build is really cool
Completely unrelated to Sims SAME. i do not drink because it makes me sleepy not ready to party. But also, yeah tried to be a club person…realized I wasn’t and am happier. Also stopped trying to find the ‘fun’ in alcohol and am happier. Thanks for making me feel seen. 😂
But exact opposite of you, if I invest in a build its community lots. I always download random houses off the gallery and the fix them up or change them as needed for my sim. Never build them. But a Community lot. Will invest for hours
LIFE AND DEATH EXPANSION PACK COULD BRING ZOMBIES
Wait… you don’t like Astarion? I thought if anyone would love a trauma filled, evil prone, snarky vampire, I’d be you. Wild.
4:24 I've always assumed they just used the blood in place of their own. Like Vlad is circulating Eliza's blood.
I also don't know the difference between a nightclub, a bar and a lounge
I can only assume the difference comes from the vibe of the music playing. If it's dance music, it's a nightclub. If it sounds like old-timey lofi, it's a lounge, and if it sounds like an old radio station, it's a bar
I have an idea
Do a pharmacy/clinic for new vampires. They get given fresh blood, cringe pamphlets for how to hunt humans and steal it from hospitals.
I'm writing a vampire novel set in the modern day and it's one of my settings
That would be so cool!
This kind of inspired me to write a short story about vampires 🧛♂️
friendly reminder it's ok to ghost someone if you think they might be a risk to your safety
What's fun is building an underground crypt lounge in a cemetery
Swanky! I love it!
I also get confused with all those lot types like Bar, Nightclub disco stuff because I've never been to those places irl
I made a vampire nightclub once and above ground it looks like a cemetairy.
And undergriund is where the nigh club is
There are two wolves inside you: vampire goth core and cyberpunk city core
They make out gayly in the back of the club
"it tastes bad and makes me sleepy" is EXACTLY why i don't drink lol
dude that’s crazy i just started a new vampire let’s play and i made a modern house for them
great job!
If someone I knew were a vampire I would ask these questions:
1. What was history like
2. How much blood do they need to drink
3. Do they know any hot vampires
vampires and night clubs with poor lighting are a match made in heaven
10 out of 10 would go and be a vampire juice box at this place

I'm an Ann Rice vampire fan, but also a Bram Stoker vampire fan.... Twilight vampires\kid friendly vampires can take a very long walk off a very short pier.
I could never play my game ever again without the "vampires can kill" mod. It just makes everything so much better. What's the point in living as a vampire if I'm only able to just gentle hizz around at people and meditate? duhhhhh nothingggg, gimme that sexy, slaughtery drama Sims 🧛🔥🌚
We really need more mermaids and aliens on the Sims 4, I feel it's needed for sure
YASSS VAMPIRE THE MASQUERADE MENTION!!!
Like if you've already pressed the bell button 🔔❤
OMG SO CLOSE TO 400K SUBS! WWWWW
_love it!_
The "All of the liquid????" was so real
I wish that humans would freak out and scared when they see vampires in their dark form instead of their human form. And they should have an option for vampires to reveal their dark forms to those they trust in on their secret. It would also be cool if vampires have a certain limit to how long they can be in their human form and that it would drain their dark energy the longer they are in it. Also I hate it when I had my vampire sims try to secretly drink blood and wiping the human sims’ memory, only for people to still know about that they drink… it toro all ruins the immersion of trying to live a secret life as a vampire
love the intro 😂
This build feels more canon to Bloodlines 2 than Bloodlines 2 feels canon to itself
i would really love that a sim should get terrified after seeing a vampire sucking somebody blood, but they just don't care, they walk away like it's normal
I love VTM. Brujah \o\
Already posted mine of the gallery now, took an hour and forty minutes 🤣
PLANt?
fucking BANNED for that pun
Me getting called out every speed build Saturday for being That Guy who is listening while playing games on my other screen.😶
I'm gonna keep doing it though.
