Hong Kong, the Ritz Carlton @ ICC is considered 7-stars... and possibly the new-upcoming hotel in the Shanghai Tower; as well as the Burj Al Arab Jumeriah, Dubai; Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi...All The Wynn properties; Morpheus in Macau... more than likely the more stars the more amenities. butlers, complimentary car service; sought after restaurant..high floors with views, prime locations..original art (not artworks that are computer generated)..hotel rooms made from the finest materials..
As a Canadian, Sydney will be nothing like Toronto. Toronto is already higher, like the CN Tower and other Condos and even will be higher in the future. Maybe you should look at the Toronto skyline and the new buildings they have approved for future development.
go check out Melbourne......Sydney its only the harbour thats world famous.....plenty of supertalls around the world bigger than CN tower which was built years ago......its only a observation tower all said and done!!!

North American cities are nothing to Sydneys harbour with the Sydney Opera House and the huge Sydney Harbour Bridge and its nature and its natural beautify. North American cities on the other side however, are also quiet lame. All it is, is just tall ass buildings nothing special with it and its nature are a whole awful lot bad. Not many special landmarks, all its landmarks is just the tall ass buildings which is the WTC and Willis Tower etc. If anyone gets offended by this i'm sorry, this is just my opinion about Sydney and North American cities, This is just how I feel about these cities.
Sydney's CBD lies below Australia's busiest air corridor, so unfortunately, buildings cannot be higher than those that are already there. When the MLC Centre was built it was the world's tallest building outside New York and Chicago. Australia Square, which is a few floors shorter, contains the world's largest revolving restaurant. My prediction is that Parramatta will one day be the location of Australia's true big buildings. It isn't under any current or future air routes but will be closer to the new Western Sydney Airport than the CBD is and will also be part of the rail link to it. No city in the world has the Sydney Harbour Bridge or the world's largest and most beautiful natural habour though. For this, Sydney will always stand proud.
