- Chicken kulambu in Tamil / Chicken Curry is a awesome gravy that goes excellent with rice, chappatis/rotis and is a popular companion to biryani as well. Tender chicken cooked in a delicious gravy is a guaranteed delight.
Ingredients for Chicken Kulambu :
3/4 kg chicken
To make coconut paste:
1 cup grated coconut
1 tbsp pepper corns
2 tsp fennel seeds
2 tsp cumin seeds
2 inch cinnamon stick
4 clove
4 cardamom
2 onions
2 tomatoes
2 tbsp(ginger ,garlic, green chilli paste)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coriander leaves
2 tbsp chilli powder
curry leaves and coriander leaves for garnishing
salt to taste..

For all Indians living abroad, may I suggest the Braun multi blender. It grinds coconut and nuts nice and fine. Just purchased one last week after watching a UA-camr using it. A very good intro price.
Wow i just today done with my wife.. i just follow all ingrediets with same measure as post in video except chili powder...( changed to baba's chicken masala)

Akward moments- grinding grated coconut to paste.... in video nvr add water while grinding grated coconut.. my mixer nvr grind without water .when i was add water output same as video.
Enjoying moments- first chicken kulambu done without failure .its really encourages to do more dishes by madras samayal

I tried this today and it turned out amazing! Thank you so much. I think your chilli quantity is spot on. I went for 1 or 2 tbsp more of chilli powder and more green chilli and ended up too spicy so I had to add more water. Should have just followed your ratio!
+Rajiv Ramachandran 3 tbsp will be too much,when come to salt and spice less is always better because we can taste the dish when it is almost done and adjust accordingly.I am happy that you you were able to rescue the dish
