وعَلَيْكُمْ السَّلامُ ورَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وبَرَكاتُهُ Asrār Rashīd is just your typical Barelwī Ashʾarī who claims that tafwīḍ al-maʾnā was the way of the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ regarding the attributes of Allāh. An in-depth analysis of tafwīḍ and its alleged attribution to the Salaf will be released in the future إن شاء الله. Asrār also employed layers of taqīyyah when covering whether the Ashʾarīs believe the Qurʾān is created or not, that will also be addressed.

But I watch this video and I knew there might be alittle dishonest but in minute 36:00 host asked a brilliant question and he literally avoids it mention Imam tahawi’s uncle Imam muzani but no mention of his work in aqeedah when that was the topic. And there are many more books aqeedah books but he avoids them. The video is 5pilars podcast No. 103 asrar rashid time stamp 36:00 but you can go back 5 minutes for the context. After 40 minutes I quit the video. That’s how dishonest it was. The only interesting bit was the hanifi fiqh Q&A at the beginning. I realised Asharis lie a lot about basic even historical facts. And always muddle up fiqh madhabs and aqeedah to trip the people.

Firstly his characterisation of the hands of Allāh are wrong in how both the Ashʾarīs and Ahl al-Sunnah view them, likewise his comments on the _“true atharī creed”_ are bogus. All Ashʾarīs in both the Arabic and English-speaking cyberspace have a number of major often-repeated claims that their daʾwah revolves around, videos dedicated to each one of them are in the making. Shaykh Sulṭān al-ʿUmayrī has an entire lecture dedicated to the hands of Allāh and the different views surrounding them and the objections from deviant groups. The Shaykh also has a lecture on the various creedal currents within the Ḥanbalī madhhab. These will be subtitled in due course إن شاء الله, but they’re over an hour long each and so they’ll take a while.
