Had the brits on their knees no other country achieved What Ireland did against all odds still no peace yet 😢 Until we get answers and public apology from the crown 👑 🇮🇪🍀💚💚💚
The greatest empire in modern history began unraveling thanks to this one genius and high Irish morals compared with British War criminals. Ironic that fools in England compare zelensky to Churchill.😂😂😂. Russia will lose cos purin is copying Churchill and Zelensky must have learnt our history when he visited in 2017. Britain today has learned from its mistakes and keeps its war crimes private. ie SAS
The 6 counties are not and never have been and never will be a part of Great Britain... Theyre a part of the island of Ireland and a part of the political entity that is The United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland for the time being. Theres the Irish sea between Great Britain (the large island) and Ireland..... Basic stuff..
@Mandy89156 the south of the South is Cork; I'm from there. The South is the 26 Counties, the bit Britain left, the North is the 6 Counties, the bit they did not. I'll admit I could have capitalised the s in south in the original comment but I thought the meaning will have been obvious, since north of the border in Ireland no one can doubt the British have remained to this day. Collins' victory only went so far. It can never be described as complete given what he himself openly professed he was fighting for, namely a 32-County Sovereign Irish Republic.
He was no doubt that 1 in 10,000. What was his Greatest Strength??
Hard to pick one, his wit and audacity
Audacity
Clearly a pioneer in counter intelligence. His picture is on the wall in Langley or at least on their website. Even the MI6 quote him
An Irish icon, father of the state 🇮🇪
One of the greatest leaders in history.
for sure he was, we need more like him these days and cant help but imagine what he would have accomplished had he lived longer
@@HistoryExplained185 Yes, he was a legend.
Sorry I can't let that go, potentially he was but failed miserably.
Greatest Irishman ever. Ireland needs the likes of him again.
He sold out the north of Ireland
@@Occident. That's very very debatable 🤔
Thengreen hold thier spot orsnge have their spot ..
A video on General Tom Barry?
A brave man signed his own death warrant ☘️😔
Ironicly sad that after battling on behalf of Irishmen, he was murdered by one of them !
Had the brits on their knees no other country achieved
What Ireland did against all odds still no peace yet 😢

The Irish beat the british monster at the height of its power. The Irish are powerful
It was 1922 not 1923
correction: "how Michael Collins defeated the ENGLISH empire in Ireland"
He didn't break the empire. Formidable man though
No he brought it to heel do.
He started the ball rolling for the empire to collapse
He defeated the strongest imperial power at its height. As soon as Ireland left the union, the british empire collapsed.
He humbled the british empire. Nobody has ever done that, alone, without outside help, only the Irish.
He didn’t, though, did he?
Northern Ireland just celebrated her centenary in 2021 and the majority of her citizens are content with the status quo. 🇬🇧
You do realise the brits haven't wanted you sinse ww2.

He didn't defeat the British Empire in Ireland, he only defeated it in the south; he would tell you that himself if he were alive today.
The south is cork

"Collins a journalist". At age 13? I don't think so. BS video and back-of-box breakfast cereal history.
He did more in 31 years than the likes of you would do in a hundred lifetimes.
Get it right u mean the 6 occupied counties the north of Ireland
He would be rolling in his grave now!
Heres how: he didn't. Ireland is still not ran by the Irish
He sold out the his fellow Irishmen and Irishwomen in the north of Ireland
Did great til he turned traitor. His actions after he signed the treaty are too often overlooked. The absolute epitome of a traitor.
