Yeah, i find it weird that even in some channels that talk good about Radiohead they won't touch the Suspiria soundtrack, sometimes not even Yorke's solo work. The new album is great, perhaps his best effort so far.
I will see him live (solo material) in a few weeks. Suspiria score is great and hard to separate from the movie (in my opinion). The fact it wasnt meant to be an "album" is a factor why the people are puzzled by it. I totally agree that Yorke is getting even better over time.
So nice to have such a great analysis of this underrated score. Would you agree that there is a lot of 70s inspiration as well, like the work of Wendy Carlos ? In the experimental ways Yorke creates this uneasy feeling. I might be wrong, but I feel a more stronger link than with the Blade Runner score (though it's my favorite soundtrack ever)
Thanks for doing this! Like the other comments I'm surprised how there are few to no reviews of this soundtrack. This is a fantastic video! Keep it up.
Finally someone talks about the Suspiria soundtrack, I'm surprised there are no analysis of it or even full reviews.
angel luna Yeah I was too, thought this would be a good video as Yorke’s just released his latest project with PTA!
