1 mistake in like 5 years, we'll let ya slide Honestly at first I thought it was intentional, like maybe both shows repeated the same opening segment that they did on that day.
I disagree. While creative, they lead people into thinking that was actually part of the program then. Not everyone is 100% up to speed on AI and how to identify it, etc....
Interesting. As we will have had almost inverted experiences. With the finger-poke of doom episode being the last one airing in my country this is all "new" to me.
Yeah, i remember a backstage brawl between benoit and bigelow. Didnt find any Matches on the database between the two, but this was the first time i watched wrestling in general... i was instantly hooked, a love for a lifetime... the first time watching raw was the debut of Paul Wight. Stayed up all night as a little kid, because in germany wrestling was on TV very late.
@Hyde_Hill But there were still some good matches and storylinez going on. The finger poke isn't the total end of WCW. It was 1 mistake among many that took WCW down the wrong path. Having the nWo fade away and Hogan return to red & yellow was actually worse.
At least they got it right a bit later in the year, when he was the US champion. And the storyline was clearly BLATANT NEPOTISM, and we were supposed to hate him. That was actually well done. (because we WERE angry. haha)
Not even that, it shows how much control the likes of flair, hogan etc had back stage. Id say David had barely even trained before that match with Eric
I can’t tell you the joy I get when I see new episodes of this pop up every week. Thanks so much for your hard work with this series and all your videos. It’s one of the only channels that I watch every video that gets posted.
Another awesome episode of Reliving the war this series has come a long way since the first episode i laughed so much at the Ric Flair elbow dropped John Cena line 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Literally have been binging the series from start again, then the notification for this one comes up. I'm a happy camper. Much love and respect for your work and commitment.
This series is like a freakin Time Machine back to 5th and 6th grade. Watching takes me back to my parents living room and my older brother complaining about the nwo music seemingly being on a loop lol
Damn that was a good match between Jericho and Booker T. Could’ve did a feud with them. This man continues to find ideas for that legendary Bret “Shut up” part. I can’t lie Eric selling that coin punch by David is hilarious 😆 😂
The thing i always liked about Jericho, he never had a problem jobbing for people if it made sense, like the fact he was willing to let Goldberg kick his ass at a pay per view, but we never truly got it in WCW
Another great video. 😁👍 I like how there wasn't a single promo from Bigelow, Goldberg nor Hall regarding their main event match. Seems very odd. But then again, WCW did drop the ball a lot when you look back.
Ahhh , good Ole reliable wrestling bios with another classic Thursday Reliving The War episode,. Thursday is must see wrestling day and every other Sunday with the PPVs. Just love this channel and it's content, and I really love Reliving The War. Peace and love my bros.
Wrestling Bios, whoever put together that intro video is amazing and I hope they got a good payday. Thats professional grade as if WWE actually made it. Makes me miss the days where they played their intro videos cuz it came with a certain hype. Especially if youve been waiting all week to see what was going to happen next.
The beginning of 99 until april was good then and even better now when wrestling bios drops a video. Can't believe it another year on our calendars in the books and we start another with this
Would have probably given this one to WCW myself. Just because of the mixing up of stuff. With Ray getting involved in a higher level storyline. Psychosis and Disco wins. Plus finally someone standing up against the NWO at the end. Despite the "match" from hell.
Just wanted to say thanks for making this series! It's not only gotten me back into wrestling, but is also helping me get through a rough emotional time right now. My wife's got our dog (we're still together but he just loves her more), but I've got some sweet wrestling moves again.
@WrestlingBios thank you for always uploading the reliving the war stuff!!! Every single week I look forward to your uploads and reliving pieces of my childhood. You are the real mufuggin one!!!
I want to sincerely apologize for all the likes I have not given you, but I appreciate every single Road Dogg/Bret Hart skit you have given us and I'm gonna hate to see em go after the War is over😭😭😭😭😭if possible could we get a compilation of them when it's all over??🙏🏾
During the Vince McMahon hype video, at 17:20, he hits a stunner on the guy wearing a blue mask and a red top. The masked man is non other than Kurt Angle, who at this point was training for his eventual debut 10 months later.
What is amazing to me is as you’re going through this era (December - February 1998-1999) this was when I was in San Diego at the yellow hell just outside the airport (MCRD San Diego). I was trying to so hard to get info on what was happening and finding out that WCW was just this giant sinking ship was so disappointing. I never got to see this era live and only found out about the major things when we were able to get info from home.
It’s shocking that everybody at WCW saw David Flair wrestle in a tag match at Souled Out and thought: “Hell yeah! Let’s book another David Flair match in less than 24 hours… a singles match this time… against a non-wrestler!” At least at Souled Out David was in the ring with three great wrestlers that had a combined 65 or so years of experience. Those 65 years of experience could only do so much with a very green David at Souled Out, but at least that experience was in the ring with him. But now he’s wrestling… Bischoff???
It is amazing how full of crazy things are these episodes A demonic undertaker that put people on crucifixions flaming symbols blood sacrifices and dark rituals Sexual assault on screen during a match Vincemaking reference to the finger poke Hardcore matches and brawls backstage everywhere A mannequin head with gold dust makeover It was really the attitude era
8:05 I remember an IWA Mid-South event that Road Dogg was attending that had J C Bailey vs. Spyder Nate Webb as they were trying to put each other through a table and then after about a half dozen attempts, the table never broke, the only damage I've seen done to that table was one of it's feet bending, I bet Road Dogg was having flashbacks of this moment
Great episode but I think one of your editors missed that they place the wrong episode number/month and year. We are on eps 169 Jan. 1999 the episode appears as 142 july 98
If the new generation of fans who weren't around at this time wonder why us old school fans can't watch the modern product these rtw episodes will show them why. Best years of pro wrestling these are

I was genuinely confused for a second. 😆
@@bodenlosedosenhose1590 I actually fixed it and had another copy of the video, still uploaded the wrong one!

Can you post the updated video with the correct date? Makes it easier to find.@@WrestlingBios
Bro, those Vinny Mac promos are absolutely hysterical! 😂😂 love this series, as always 😊
Wrestling bios had me dying with the David flair vs Eric lol
Ahhh the Raw and Nitro that took place on my 18th birthday....good times
The Vince montage kills me every single time. I bit the first time, but caught on after that and it's my new favorite segment...
Teddy Long giving Al Snow head in the middle of the ring is something that actually happened in 1999 😅😂
What a sentence...
The AI Vince promos are 10/10. Love these!

I've been waiting for this one. The first and only WCW Monday Nitro I got to attend.
You saw live the living legend, the weapon that is David Flair? I envy you!
I remember shouting " Down goes Frazier! " when David hit Bischoff with the roll of quarters. My god that was terrifyingly hilarious.
Thank you for great work wrestling bios ❤
My pleasure :)
Get a room ladies..
@@namebrandrobots1248 Recognize that Bios does a good job with these videos and people are thanking him for it.
Next week's episode will be the first time I had watched a WCW show and it's one of my all time favourite episodes.
Interesting. As we will have had almost inverted experiences. With the finger-poke of doom episode being the last one airing in my country this is all "new" to me.

I've been patiently waiting for that cold as ice Steve Blackman intro.... is my boy injured or something? Or saving parallel universes last week?
It's amazing that John Cena had a career after years of elbows from The Nature Boy.

I can't wait to hear your review of RR 1999. 1999 was a wild year for the WWF.
David Flair being pushed was the sign that WCW didn't know what they were doing.
At least they got it right a bit later in the year, when he was the US champion. And the storyline was clearly BLATANT NEPOTISM, and we were supposed to hate him. That was actually well done. (because we WERE angry. haha)

Sad we only have a few more months of Owen on RTW he was so entertaining and a mainstay since the beginning of the series
I can never get enough of Steve “the mug fug “ sensei Blackman. Truly the best wrestler, nay, hero of out time.
Sensei Mug Fug needs to be the name of a copyright free Steve Blackman in a video game.

And this is why I love my weekends starting early, with another episode of RTW
David Flair is living proof that on-the-job training is not always a good thing.
He's also proof that nepotism... while alive and well, doesn't ALWAYS work in ones favor.
Also "bring your kid to work" shouldn't apply for professional wrestling, in other words...
On the job training is fine,
but it's a lot like a subject that you have to study before hand.
His lasting memory will be his WWE titantron where it’s just him posing followed by a disappointed shot of his dad.
Another awesome episode of Reliving the war this series has come a long way since the first episode i laughed so much at the Ric Flair elbow dropped John Cena line 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
