Love a good tech session, could you maybe try a trance mix at some point, I understand you have to be careful of copyright, but I would definitely enjoy a trance mix 🔥🔥🔥
I just noticed the library view on both player was synced, is this because of the serato setup ? is it possible to do the same if they're linked together in standalone mode or to leave them in individual mode ? And do CDJs have a similar feature ? ^^ (Speaking about that if you scroll on one player it mirrors onto the other one) Manythanks
It's due to the players being used with Serato DJ Pro. Serato has four internal decks but just one library so all the players connected are controlling the same library (that's why their library controlls appear to be "synced"). I believe that this is not possible without using Serato. With Pioneer CDJs it's the same thing: When using them with Serato (or any otver DJ software) in HID mode they both controll the same library, in standalone mode, they work indivdually.
@@DOZEMusic Shame we can't have them synced on players, id be quite nice to scroll on deck A and find yourself in the same position on deck B. Could be very useful if you have a playlist with an order of tracks set and need to scroll one track down each time. And other things like that :) Maybe in a future SC5000 update :D
@@Sadiquecat Just one of the reasons why I use Serato all the time, even with SCs and CDJs in clubs etc. It actually has a lot of advatages and especially with the Denons, the Serato integration is seamless and just amazing. But I understand that not everybody wants to take their laptop to the booth so it would be nice if people using these players in standalone mode would have this feature too; Maybe as an option to enable in the settings. You should post that as a request in the Denon DJ forum, they listen to what their DJs and release a lot of firmware updates ;)
Serato is the best I've used... Using a laptop.. You can simply search a tune... Drop and drag into next position.. The Roland 505 is much tighter than pioneers kit to use... More direct for me... And had the the tb3... And tr8, to mix alongside... Then Roland went and bought THE DJ 202,505 and 808. Forwards into the scene
The overall performance was nice as usual. However, I must point out the fact that the Roland TR-8S is the worst drum machine in recent time and most definitely the worst I've ever owned. It could be good but the machine's architecture and logical design is atrocious. Its not an intuitive device nor is it modern in feature sets. Not to mention the main thing which differentiates the 8S from the original, sampling feature, is near useless. Roland doesn't officially state it but the TR8S only has about 128 Megabytes of sample storage which equates to 2 minutes of sampling time in Stereo. Totally not worth for $800. Also, TR LINK is not even a selling point because any device can be synced to a computer or any device where midi is present. You'd get much better results sticking with the built in samplers or MPC Live if you prefer hardware. Perhaps check out Pioneer DJ's offerings, as they're suitable for moden day workflows and performances.

This is what makes the Serato platform so exciting compared to Rekordbox.
Needs notes on what all the buttons are for. lol Like Laidback Luke's "In My Mind" series.

A text full of bs, crowned by that hilarious Pioneer marketing at the end. 1/10.
