I've been trying to get a handle on what will happen in the week prior to the inauguration and this theory is as good as any I've come up with. Mondays are usually bullish and with the full moon as well, we might see a pump this week before the markets dump 24 hours prior to inauguration day, supporting your theory. Devaluing the dollar is absolutely the dumbest thing to ever attempt to do. America is not an industrial nation. America gave up industrialization the very moment we moved away from the gold standard. The infrastructure is not made for re-industrializing. We and all other countries relying on the US will suffer to the likes we have never seen since the great depression.
The opposite is true. (Not a Trump supporter), when the value of the dollar goes up too much, it makes it more difficult for foreigners to pay back their American debt, which can lead to a crash. The depression started with a strong dollar as well.
