Very cool video, Optibotimus. This Vader is my favorite figure out of all of them. So far, it's the best Darth Vader collectible ever made. Epic. Thumbs up, man.
Great review Mr.Botimus, I really like how natural the cape looks. It's like a small version of the actual suit! Though I would have really liked to see the whole set with all the lights on, in the dark.
the little silver bit is really cool in the movie they used it like a green screen for the saber(they stuck a rod inside it made out of reflective material)
I glad you commented on the two issues I really noticed on here as well... The exterior look is quite amazing but I think the under skeleton is a bit too thin in both the arms and legs, and the "bunching" is a bit of an issue as well.... Another great review Opt, thanks.
I would just hazard a guess that Anakin was a little thin ... that could be a substantial reason / excuse, and also that you are thinking about his legs, both bionic replacements...
I really think when you show light-up accessories, you need to show them in a unlit room, do some editing and jump cut them into the review, it would really add a lot to your already great reviews, imo.
got mine yesterday at the advice that they are sold out everywhere. all I can say is wow - for a sideshow figure everything about this figure is quality even the box - if it had hot toys on the logo you would almost think it could pass for hot toys
Awesome, except for the Vader unmasked optional head accessory. The bottom part of the mask extends too far forward, it doesn't look appropriate in scale.
I always thought it must have been awesome for David Prouse to play Vader in the movie, but for some reason your review made me realize it must have been hell having to work under all that equipment. I agree about the arms though, they are way too thin. Vader needs to hit the gym more often.
Take a black string, tie it to the bottom of the ankle b4 you put the shin and foot back on. When u put the shin on, pull the string through and cut the excess. Then put the shoe on. Bunched crotch area fixed and black string does not show. Worked for me.
I have question. The leather/vinyl on Some Darth Vader action figures have been known to flake and crack(Medicom Vader for example) Does this figure have that problem?
paul try getting some silicon spray and coat the inside of the shin guards with the silicon spray this will help a lot with it sticking to the pants and will slide on much easier. the silicon is clear and u will not see it. i use silicon spray all the time in the winter as i work for the railroad and wear rubber boots in the snow.same prob the rubber on the bottom of my work boots sticks to the rubber boots and makes it very hard to squeeze the rubber boots on over them. i use silicon spray on the inside of the black rubber boots and they slide on with ease. i wouldn't spray the pants but def spray the inside of the shin guards or maybe spray a tiny paint brush and then apply it to the shin guards I'm sure this will work just let it dry first which should only take a min. hope that helps.
Great.... another night spent watching Optibotimus videos and my alarm just went off telling me to wake up. Guess I'm going to work today on 0hrs of sleep
I really like all the accessories, the extra head with Anakin, the light up effect, all except for the body and the folds on the lether suit. I think that the old one looks nicer in that department. I would like to just add the extras to mine specially the base. I love that base. Thank you for the video as I was close to selling mine to get this one, and I'm glad I didn't.
If you did get the AC adapter with every display stand, that would be a hell a lot of plugs, yeah you could use a power strip, but I'd be worried about having so many things plugged in at once.
My darth vader just arrived today from Fed ex. His main helmeted head was damaged with plenty of scratches and smudges. I hope Sideshow replaces it as I have spent a bomb on this thing.
vader is a cool figure to own and I love it . Except a few days ago one of the belt lights no longer works on one side. Does anyone have the same issue ? could the battery be flat causing only one side to work instead of two ? I have only owned since Saturday and its already broken I cant believe it
+Daniel Lopez Maybe you'd want to buy this one, especially if you don't have a Darth Vader figure, but if you already do then maybe not. It's your choice; you could also get for its great details and or for its articulation which is very good according to some other videos I've watched where they compared an episode 4 version to this one or one so very similar to this one. Just a suggestion.
AWESOME!!! My favorite thing I'd like to have/get. It is my favorite character out of all characters in the whole Star Wars universe. It is as great as it looks if not better. Looks amazing, is amazing, but it costs WAY too much money to buy it. Maybe you could tell me where it's the cheapest at?
I got mine today and this is the most awesome darth vader out there. Expensive? Oh. Yes brother, but you get extra value. Take the medicom rah vader. A lightup sabre but nothing more for more money!
LurdVader Non Deluxe as in the recently released one ? That one looks better,as the suit is padded and fitted better. doesnt have as many accessories though
Aussiesteveification Yeah I own it too. Definitely more bulked out and better fitted. Hell I'd say it's objectively better unless you like twig arms more lol.
Hey man! GREAT REVIEW! I am in 100% agreement with you...the arms are TOO thin...you would think as long as sideshow has worked on this guy they would have noticed the arms were too skinny and beefed them up some...I have to say that really detracts from the look...oh well...otherwise he really does look fantastic...
Looks like Episode III Darth Vader. Watch the movie!!! Doesn't he look like the Episode III. You know when he first (chronologically for the story) appeared? Petter Griffin's laugh 3x.
I'm glad I saw this video review cause those arms aren't right and no light-up saber. That's a shame that SS makes a half-ass figure. I wish HT would've done this figure cause you're get a better quality product.
It's a darth Vader but not sideshow. I'm getting medicom 12 revenge of the sith darth vader. optibotimus you should get the medicom version it's amazing.
the sideshow ANH version is better in my opinion. I have both versions and like the ANH version better. tho the accessories are better in this version.
+SuperMicklovin Agreed. Sideshow's "New Hope" Vader had thicker muscles, and was slightly taller, making him more menacing than Sideshow's "Return of the Jedi" Vader. I prefer the "Return of the Jedi" suit overall, but prefer the "Ner Hope" body.
"Guys, let's actually try to hit our targets" said no stormtrooper ever.
Can't wait to get mine, wish the saber would light up though like the recent SS obi one figure did. Cool review
Soo... you have one yet?
@@mrsigh526 I would also like to know.
Damn, if only the 6" black series Vader/Anakin head had that paint job! Were I good enough at painting I'd so try it lol.
This Vader looks brilliant!
This is really amazing, but if they could have added a young Anakin head similar to the old Anakin, that would be an added specialness.
the little silver bit is really cool in the movie they used it like a green screen for the saber(they stuck a rod inside it made out of reflective material)
so glad you are moving onto reviewing 1/6 and other high end stuff rather than transformers!!
But in the movie he was actually on the larger side. Not fat, but just thicker. Stronger looking
Darth Vader is my favorite Star Wars character of all time.
(Uses force to crush medical droids) Noooooooooooooooooo!
I really think when you show light-up accessories, you need to show them in a unlit room, do some editing and jump cut them into the review, it would really add a lot to your already great reviews, imo.
I like your profile pic.
fenixman2 fucking weebs
Ethan Cotto-Ramos weebs are just people who watch anime. Weaboos are what you should hate. They are just fucking annoying.
13:50 when darth vader is raising his fist up only thing missing is HAIL HYDRA!!!!! Lol
4:22 Bruh i’m dead....😂😂😂
got mine yesterday at the advice that they are sold out everywhere. all I can say is wow - for a sideshow figure everything about this figure is quality even the box - if it had hot toys on the logo you would almost think it could pass for hot toys
Shouldn't it be 1 "sith" scale
Many people would like the smaller stand for the helmet, I'm sure even more people would like the same thing in full scale.
That's sick cape flow, thanks for showing that.
What i think should be in my opinion is that to have 1 less acessorie is that the helmet can come off to reveal the actual anakin head
Bob likes your review . Bob wants to get this figure . Bob is a big fan of Optibotimus and Star Wars
Bob likes talking about himself in the third person
Awesome, except for the Vader unmasked optional head accessory. The bottom part of the mask extends too far forward, it doesn't look appropriate in scale.

5:11-5:13 ahhhhhhhlaulalala!! (optibotimus youre a really nice guy lol XD)
I love how you put the clip of Vader accusing Leia.
Great.... another night spent watching Optibotimus videos and my alarm just went off telling me to wake up. Guess I'm going to work today on 0hrs of sleep

hi! is there a way or mod to put the mask on the sebastian shaw head sculpt? (or is if it's even possible)
thank you!
I really hope hot toys makes a return of the jedi vader because they would probly make this bulkier
Grove Street Families how about rouge one
this one is return of the jedi

the emperor's central enforcer and most
notorious apprentice has truly arrived at long last.

Hey fellow collectors! I'm deciding on if I should get this or general grievous! This would be my first sideshow figure
Daniel Lopez Get This, then Malgus or Grievous.
Thinking so but then there's some older SS figures I'm looking at like order of the Jedi kit fisto or obi wan
+Daniel Lopez Maybe you'd want to buy this one, especially if you don't have a Darth Vader figure, but if you already do then maybe not. Darth Vader is...................
AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Should i get this? Of the hyper real one?
19:06 anyone see that next to his right rist
+Comander Booster It is Anakin's soul floating back home to Jedi Heaven after he makes up with his son before he force kicks the bucket :)
I love grievous
Agreed my friend
agree...
2:56 *Spoiler Alert* that's not an "exclusive" feature, the light up arm just got broken in transit 🤭🤭🤭
when I got this figure the helmet from the mask came loose and I can't attach it back easily as it keeps coming off...maybe a superglue would do
How did you get it so fast? I've got it on pre-order, but I've been told not to expect it until Jan 2014.
d vader unmasked gives me chills

The silver tip is really in Vader's Hilt
Cool review
Can't wait to get mine
+Zack briggs, in affraid there is no sideshow episode 4 vader, only the hot toys one. :(
Btw can seperated mask & helmet be attached to Anakin head to mimic the undressing scene?
He covered that.
MJKToys
Yup i did
*****
Sorry... :(

Just backing up a fellow "purple" drinker. ;P

Good review thanks for showing everything and explaining it don’t listen to the haters
which one is better? the deluxe version or the non deluxe version?
LurdVader Non Deluxe as in the recently released one ? That one looks better,as the suit is padded and fitted better. doesnt have as many accessories though
Aussiesteveification Yeah I own it too. Definitely more bulked out and better fitted. Hell I'd say it's objectively better unless you like twig arms more lol.
Such a great figure :) love Darth Vader.
If you have a cc-5052 I would love to buy it
Great early review! Can't wait to get mine!! :)
Is there a Sideshow Episode 4 Darth Vader? I'm only finding a Hot Toys Episode 4 Vader.
You would have thought that white part was a wall and not paper
is there a 1/6th scale Darth Maul or Darth Tyranus (Count Dooku)
darth maul figure coming out before the end of the year
Anthony Lacroix new darth maul but no dooku
That pointing finger makes me want to pose Vader picking his nose.
Where did you get that?
Great review man. I'm officially sold on it. Going to put in the order tonight. :D
Hey Paul, you thinking of picking up the spider-man and avenger figmas?
Hey man! GREAT REVIEW! I am in 100% agreement with you...the arms are TOO thin...you would think as long as sideshow has worked on this guy they would have noticed the arms were too skinny and beefed them up some...I have to say that really detracts from the look...oh well...otherwise he really does look fantastic...
and here's us poor dudes chillin with our black series vader
By that they his face was change through out the years with the special editions.
Great review....just wish you would keep your hands out of the frame until you need to touch tne product
Got this for my kid. Called me the best parent ever. I'm the best parent ever bitches.
Every one who is a t rexy is the best parent ever dont you agree
U should review the aniken Skywalker when he join forces with the emperor from Star Wars :the siths revenge
This is definitely the Episode III Vader!
no it isnt its the return of the jedi vader
Is this figure officialy released already?
Yes, mine arrived today.
Cool figure but I fell asleep was hoping for a wow and this figure is more of a Meh. Great review!!!!
You put his light saber on the belt wrong, it goes on saber side pointing up.
is this the only star wars sideshow figure or not?i don't know it!:)
no, they have a lot in all kinds of sizes and prices :)
Why is your hands all in the video?
Because i haven't developed the ability to use the Force yet to manipulate an action figure with it and not my hands :P
Looks like Episode III Darth Vader. Watch the movie!!! Doesn't he look like the Episode III. You know when he first (chronologically for the story) appeared? Petter Griffin's laugh 3x.
Isn't sideshow partnered with Hottoys with these figures? I'm pretty sure hottoys build it, and Sideshow paints it.
Nope. Sideshow produces these themselves.
***** Well not according to a few reviewers like FLYGUY.
Meh..
Well according to the owners, whom i've spoken to....FLYGUY is wrong
***** Hottoys is associated with them some how. As it has their brand on the Militaries of Star Wars box I have.
Sideshow is the official distributor of Hot Toys figures here in the U.S. That's how they're associated.
lol i loved the clip you put in there
No Darth Vader's Heavy Breathing in the video?
Great review. Keep it up.
15:47
It needs a filler, filler now.
It would of been funny if the box said Sith Scale instead of Sixth Scale!
hi optibotimus! i am a fan of star wars saga,i think this is the better figure of darth fener ever done!what do you think?
is this from the video game
You get a minus for not talking about the other Vaders they have, like the Life size one and the regular one without all the hands and helmet etc.
Great looking figure
How do you get these figure so quickly from Sideshow, my friend? :)
I'm glad I saw this video review cause those arms aren't right and no light-up saber. That's a shame that SS makes a half-ass figure. I wish HT would've done this figure cause you're get a better quality product.
Maybe i'll get this, I have a 31 inch Darth Vader and its too damn big!! I need a regular sized one to go with my hot toys luke
This is a good figure, but Grevious is my fav.
thank you bowmanruto
great review. i love vader. only negative of this review - your hands being always in frame.

that is awesome darth vader id one of my favorite starwars sith after darth malgus but agin awesome vidieo
i wish the packaging said Sith scale =U
very good
the unmasked Vader head isn't so good
In my opinion, the Hasbro Anakin head looks better.
Best part ooo I'm using the force lol
Lol when I found this video it had 666 likes.
