    I really love the way you explain and demonstrate each process. Now am confident enough to make this pastry. I will be following your recipe to make the gizzadas and the plantain tarts.

When I am in Costa Rica the ladies sell it on the side of the street and I ALWAYS want to buy it but the problem is I will eat them all... hehehe I am going to make this today...     I make them just like this but I used the butter in the filling to keep moisture. Great job!

      @@nextinfood hope you’re having a beautiful day! Please help me with a tip for the pinch to hold during the baking process.
      I was able to bake some more yesterday after realizing I was pinching the edges inwards instead of outwards lol..that batch came out beautiful. Made more dough today following the recipe to the t as well as pinching it correctly but they came out flat from the oven🤦🏽‍♀️ Thanks

      Try brush the edges with a little cold water before pinching. Water always helps to hold pastry together

    Literally just took these from the oven and they are so tasty. Thank you for such a precise and informative recipe. The pastry is yummy the filling so flavorful. Some of pinched edges look deformed but that ok 😆. Also used pan cake syrup

    If you cook the sugar and water for the recipe and cook it down to a syrup and add the coconut sugar mixture cook till done then you don't need to add extra syrup nevertheless your demonstration was very good. Bless!

      Never squeeze the milk out. The milk add to the flavor
