I really love the way you explain and demonstrate each process. Now am confident enough to make this pastry. I will be following your recipe to make the gizzadas and the plantain tarts. I would really love you to show how to make the pastry for the Jamaican patties..thanks for sharing
Thank you for your clear demonstration I am foing to try it as my daughter was expressing her desire for one so true what you say about keeping the traditions going I am encouraging my granddaughter to cook with me, because when I lost my mum there were many things I wished I had asked her thank God for you tube and great chefs like you
thank you so much ~ I accidently found this. When I am in Costa Rica the ladies sell it on the side of the street and I ALWAYS want to buy it but the problem is I will eat them all... hehehe I am going to make this today... I love how you don't miss any steps and explain everything for easy learning....
@@nextinfood hope you’re having a beautiful day! Please help me with a tip for the pinch to hold during the baking process. I was able to bake some more yesterday after realizing I was pinching the edges inwards instead of outwards lol..that batch came out beautiful. Made more dough today following the recipe to the t as well as pinching it correctly but they came out flat from the oven🤦🏽♀️ Thanks
@@giovaniaron2681 I am still trying to get my pinch perfect! Try brush the edges with a little cold water before pinching. Water always helps to hold pastry together
Thanks for the info I'm going to make some I'm getting into tarts and I really want my dough to be soft n moist not too dry thanks for the info simple syrup to make coconut soft not too dry.
Literally just took these from the oven and they are so tasty. Thank you for such a precise and informative recipe. The pastry is yummy the filling so flavorful. Some of pinched edges look deformed but that ok 😆. Also used pan cake syrup
If you cook the sugar and water for the recipe and cook it down to a syrup and add the coconut sugar mixture cook till done then you don't need to add extra syrup nevertheless your demonstration was very good. Bless!

Should I squeeze the milk from the fresh coconut and use only the trash?
Never squeeze the milk out. The milk add to the flavor
No my dear, is the milk give it that gummy moist taste
Love your video, very explainable. I am sure going to try as I love coconut.
