I was a DJ there on the odd occasion on a busy mid week back in the the late 80's and it was a great place to work with a rising DJ stage and motorised lighting rig. Sad to see what has happened to the building. The main area does look smaller on camera than it did in real life, but it is hard to recognise the place as I knew it.
Wow how sad. As the Dance Academy, It used to be an amazing building. Spent many, many hours of bliss in here in 1988-1992!!! No violence what-so-ever.
@@TheUnveiledBrothers my mate is Sercurity for the whole site down there and he had the key but now the manager of pryzm has got it back now but if I can get the key again soon I’ll let you know
@@TheUnveiledBrothers Unfortunately a great deal of the structure has rotted. It is enough to make me cry, when you think of all the skills & hard work it took to create it.
Well done, guys. Your video shows better than any other urban explorers what seven years of deliberate neglect combined with criminal trashing has done to the place. It's a shame you didn't look inside the dome housing on the roof to show viewers who haven't been in there how it was constructed, and you didn't go in the room in the attic with the hatch that takes you into the base of the turret. I'm glad you didn't venture into the grid 58ft above the stage - those boards have now clearly rotted through. That big box you found near the end was a water tank that supplied the curtain drencher - a water sprinkler system that cooled the safety curtain if there was a fire. Great video, and heartbreaking for those of us who worked in and loved the place.
Thanks a lot man! We're happy you liked the video. We wish we could have shown the inside of the dome on the roof and the room in the attic, but we didn't think it was safe as the only way to get on was a ladder balancing on rusty bars. It's cool to learn what the big box was for - a water tank for the curtain in case of fire. Thanks for sharing your memories of the place. Appreciate it a lot man!
@StPeterr We literally saw a door with boards unscrewed. we were skeptical. Someone was in here, but it turned out there wasn't, but it's shut now. Defo

Thanks for sharing. It gives a better idea of what the place was like, and it's a shame what it's like now. After all, nothing lasts forever
So much sadness. It was a beautiful building. It is too late to save it now.

@@DJRuthlessmarshall You can find a crowbar and go to a board (joking i legally advice you to NOT do that)
You guys are so mature. Great video!!
Thanks alot appreciate it! Would say it's sarcasm for the "mature" part. But thanks again 😅
How did you get in
@tombstoningchannel8927 Someone unscrewed a board, leaving it open, and we took the opportunity
Could you guys please do pryzm Plymouth? I’m so curious to see what it now looks like inside! 😀
That has gone all abandoned now? Explains why no one is ever near it now
This is up for sale I went in there a few weeks ago ago

No one goes in the turret 😢
We wanted to however the way to get there is ridiculously dangerous and unstable😅
Amazing video!
Thanks!
Sorry to say that place now needs to be demolished to prevent someone dying when trying to explore it, or squat there.
@@sarahstrong7174 I believe they are able to save some parts but most of it is gone

Is this before or after the fire I can't tell
@ExCumbrianWanderer-lb5es There wasn't a fire in the palace theatre. Club 103 was the one that did get burnt.
