Yes, I know. I said original frame. Doug bent the original frame way before the trailer fell on it. These frames are known to bend in the front and under the diff in the rear. They had a perfectly straight used frame that mike sand blasted and didn't weld a gusset kit in it.
As a YXZ owner I love it that your bringing that beast back!
this machine is why i bought my first YXZ. moved on to a X3 now but that YXZ was my introduction to a pure sport machine and i loved it.

Dave Coleman - Sport Compact Car editor as well. I Built an SR20 with a GT28RS back in the day, 1991 Sentra SER auction buy, car ripped, until I decided to rip it through a field at my sisters graduation party... Turbo was BRIGHT RED when we parked it, and the car never ran again.

You guys should consider a gusset kit or reinforced front clip for this machine. I know it is already coated but it doesn’t get easier than doing the job on a new frame. Keep up the good work!

Same a compression tester will also do the same just won't show you any readout of gauges pressure in the cylinder but will let you know if your valves are leaking or rings . Awesome trick awesome color too !

just a little thought that might be cool when editing
when you mention your 400 HP YXZ, or 2jp, or the trail car, or big dog and they are not in the photo (or in this case, the yxz is wrecked)
try cutting to a quick little “flashback” of the YXZ ripping in the dunes, or when you mentioned the wedge trailer landing on the YXZ, cut to a little clip of that! just a thought!

Awesome work fella's. I once stripped and powdercoated my old 91 WR500. I polished whole frame and powdercoated in a dark Yamaha blue which was see through which enabled polished frame to be seen under coating. Lookked so sic in sunlight. Avagud1
