Sure it's a bit sloppy but you've won me over with the sheer aggression of the rendition. I've tried for many years to play parts of 'Fracture' and always failed and although this is far from perfect, the raw violence of the last couple of minutes really won me over. Nice work.

As you probably already know, even Bob Fripp has stated repeatedly that this is extraordinarily difficult to play. It would probably take me 2 years to be able to play this even SOMEWHAT well. That is quite an accomplishment! I salute you!

If you're still interested in this, what were you using for a pick? Sounds like you were using a round pick. A few specific sharp picks would solve a few of the slurs and mistakes. Great job overall.
I am always interested in KC. The pick would have been a standard medium pick. The main issues, IMO, with the playing are limited skill and incorrect / sloppy picking technique. The picking is supposed to be (I believe) down / up / down but here I am picking up / down / up just because that was what I was more comfortable with. Further, I pick too hard and am just sloppy in general. I still play this as a warm up and use the correct down / up / down picking but still play it just as sloppily. lol Thank you for listening
I give you a high A+ for your effort. That was very, very good. Very difficult song, as is lots of Fripp guitar motifs, particularly with that cross picking. He also does an alternative tuning which he more or less created. Called the New Standard Tuning which he uses exclusively with Guitar Craft. Fracture is one of my all time KC favs.
I believe that Fripp didnt start using New Standard Tuning until the Discipline album. I am pretty sure that the original Fracture on the Starless and Bible Black album is played in Regular standard tuning. Have to double check tho. Thanks for the A plus.
A bit late but Fripp actually didn't develop NST until 1985, the year after the 80s Crimson broke up so the first KC album with Fripp using NST was THRAK.
I know. and Frakctured is even worse. I am picking this wrong as well and I started to attempt to play it the right way by picking down first and it makes it even harder for me. Maybe I can try to make a short video of Frakctured soon

In all fairness, the studio recording of the song by King Crimson was the second take.

The original from the 'Starless And Bible Black' album was recorded live in Amsterdam.
There's no proper studio recording, it's actually a live take.
Despite sounding a little sloppy, those transition still sound really good! (Which in my opinion are the worst part of the song to get right)

he picks them but his right hand is prob best of all time to the point where its rediculously perfect
either way this was a damn good attempt. my uncle has figured out most of fripps jams but this one he just can't get right.
