AMAZING!!! Been having troubles most of the time. It’s crazy about staying on the hotspot screen on your phone and the PS4 would be able to detect the iPhone’s hotspot! Thank you so much!

@Anthony Garvin yes it does. I’ve done it successfully. In fact, I that’s how I’ve been connecting PS4 to the internet. I haven’t had internet though cable in over 3 years. Been just playing PS4 off line since I last had cable internet. Been unable to do updates to the PS4 pretty much ever since Covid first broke out. The PS4 kept logging me out to the main menu and I couldn’t figure out why. It’s not doing that anymore. It still has other issues with downloading things, but it’s doable. You just have to be patient with it and call PSN for tech support if you can’t get it to connect. There’s usually a wait to get through to someone too, so that part is always a pain in the ass.
I kinda slammed ma router bc it was acting stupid so now im here😭😂

I can find my hotspot easily enough, but it always comes up with failed to connect in the given time frame and it just won’t connect idk how to fix this

If you have trouble playing games because of your hotspot connection on iPhone, make sure you go to cellular data then to the option data roaming and make sure that is turned off in order to have a better and faster connection 😃

Quick tip for anyone struggling like I did, make sure your airdrop or it’s available for all users. Not just contacts/friends only. Your ps4 won’t recognise it if you don’t do this.

everytime i turn it on to everyone it turns my wifi back on my playstation finds my iphone but wont connect and if i turn my wifi back off it turns my airdrop to not receiving again

Did you turn on both wifi and Personal data on your iphone? Otherwise it won't work

@@danielburke5925 you have to press two buttons on your iphone: wifi(blue) and cellular data(green) buttons, as well as the personal hotspot in the settings

If you have the Slim the option button works but if not turn on Maximum Compatibility
If you tether your iPhone hotspot to a pc with the usb cable and then connect an Ethernet cable from your pc to your ps4 and share the connection in Windows you can get way better hotspot speed and ping.

@@diamondpac2839 so all I had to do to connect my hotspot to my PS4 was turn on the hotspot and Maximize compatibility. Once hotspot was connected I turned off maximize comparability and it stayed connected.

I just moved and this worked like a charm. I’m mad that it had confusing instructions through Bluetooth when it tried connecting the hotspot beforehand
Just wanted to say my ps4 always had issues picking up my iPhone hotspot but today I couldn’t get it too. I plugged it in via usb, reset my iphones network settings, and made sure not to leave the hotspot setting page on my iPhone and not let it go to sleep as well. It worked first try. Also for anyone else that might wonder this ps4 doesn’t allow you to use the usb as an Ethernet it only allows Bluetooth

Cause of corona virus pandemic as they call it, everyone is staying at home so that means everyone is using the internet constantly. Unfortunately cause of this, my internet is not that great. I use wifi because of where my PS4 is situated and it has never had a drop in ping before until now. Honestly, Using mobile hot spot as a substitute for internet so you get better ping is actually pretty smart. I recommend this 100% and since no one else is using your hot spot while doing this, it provides good ping. Although I wouldn't recommend doing this while others are on your hot spot otherwise it will drop your ping, BADLY, either way good video man!

x Burkez Hi 👋🏼 I have kinda figured it out. So for me about 1 hour using my internet on my ps4 (whilst in a ps4 party) uses about 60 *mb* which is pretty decent. I also only get 1mbps 😂 but it’s surprisingly not that slow.
You can check how much data you’ve used in settings > mobile data > personal hotspot.
That’s why I have unlimited

There's a setting on your phone that has your hotspot to turn off automatically. Set it as to never turn off.

A thing that might help, I had a problem with my ssid not popping up. I’m not sure if I worked it out or just a coincidence, but if u have save battery mode on, it probably won’t show up. It popped up right after I turned it off, can’t say if that was the reason tho.
