  • Finding one's voice can be difficult. Some would say it's even more so for anyone who identifies as both Transgender and a Navajo Indian from White Cone, Arizona.
Growing up as Diné in Be’ak’id baa’aoogeed can be tough for someone that didn't get a manual on how to navigate life. In this first podcast episode of Walk In Trans Beauty, Donavan lays the foundation for listeners tuning in as she articulates early identity development on her journey toward womanhood. Donavan shares first memories about harsh realities in pre-school and relationships at home. This will be the first time visits that moment chooses to swallow the gender pill and socializes to fit in to survive.
