Resin color can be expensive. Eye shadow is so much cheaper, but get yourself a hand held mixer. I got a small mixer at GNC that mixes one protein drink.
If you want to get those chunks of eyeshadow out the trick is to first pour a little bit of resin out onto a sheet of plastic or something. Then mix your eyeshadow pigment into that small amount of resin, like a paste. This let's you get all the chunks out, then pour that little bit of resin back into your main cup and it will mix up without chunks :). Not that the chunks were bad, I think they were really cool! But sometimes you want a different look. Great video, great channel!
Great video! I love the idea of using my old eye shadows as pigments. I thought the crystals with the gold leaf peaking through turned out so cool. I really like everything, especially the different layers of the kitty bowl!
When I 1st started looking in the resin I haven't tried it yet I had a feeling if you use eye shadow because macia makes eye shadow and makes the powder if you don't want the eye shadow to be so grumpy what you should try is crushing it almost like you would crush a pill and then put it in the resin I don't know if it worked but that's what I would do
I love that cat piece so much! I wonder if you could crush the eyeshadow very finely and then sieve it almost like you would with flour, etc, to get rid of any chunks? Anyway, they still turned out very nice!
There is always a black sign on the back of the Make-up with a number either 12 or 24 and it means you can use the Make-up for that amount of time after it being open just FYI
@@StephenWarrenArt but eyeshadow basically can’t go bad if it isn’t liquid or creamy since pigments don’t go bad (powder form) so you’ll be fine to use them even if the time has run out :) you’re welcome that’s what yt is for

It’s so true and some of these colours have a great shimmer. I’ve totally dealt with chunky resin pigments too, thanks for the mixer rec!
@@StephenWarrenArt Just be careful because the mixer's high speed will heat up the resin and give u less time to work as it will set up (cure) faster.
@@Biker65 That makes sense!
