I love your insight on Matthew 1. Indeed our understanding isn't a prerequisite to our obedience. We don't have to understand or agree with any/all the details before we obey a command of God. What stood out for me is God's miraculous nature. He can do anything He wills and this is evident when the Holy Spirit caused Mary to become pregnant. God's thoughts and ways are beyond our comprehension and I am learning not to box God into how I think things should happen. Clearly, His ways of operating blows our mind!
