Sweet performance! And the audio quality is surprisingly good for such an old recording. In fact it sounds a lot better than many contemporary live recordings taken with smartphone cameras today!
RIP Wolfgang
Yes!
Thank you Lille for uploading this ❤
Man, this is like watching early Necrophagist footage, masters at work. Cheers to Wolfgang for helping start something so fucking head crushing, you guys are simply the best this genre has to offer 🍻🍻🤘
Fuck yeah! He was an amazing musician out of his comfort zone here just to help his son get out there....his musical voice shines though
A gem
Crazy to see Christian playing that Jem, cool to see how long he's had that thing. Great to see the footage too, it's neat to see the early bits of this band and how things started out.
fuck yeah thanks for the feedback
From around 20 till 24:30 minutes in may be my new favorite Defeated moment. It feels flawless.
I feel like i can hear the Marquez influence to an extent during this timeframe though it sounds like you still. What a set. This is so good, very glad to see this up here.
The influence IS there I can tell u this much
@@hideousinfirmity Its great to hear it is all.
You guys rock 🤘😎
How come you guys formed DS back in 1994 and released the debut album only 10 years later?
@@michaelw4734 in 1994 I was 12....my skills didn't seem ready......started becoming pretty good at about 18/19 as seen in this video....but we were still wanting to collect the best songs we possibly could write
insane to be able to see this footage, thanks for uploading.
p.s. still coming down from seeing you guys play in andkristni last december
If only Christian had stayed to shred all of our faces off on all the Prelude-to-current albums! Not that they aren't already the best Brutal/Tech DM albums ever, but I can at least imagine!
Epitaph etc... might have been different then.....he wrote a story of his own
Can't even imagine what that must've been like to see in 2001.
nobody cared lol
It really does take a long time to grow a band like this. Nothing great happens over night.
Killer live! Judging by your demos, I thought you guys played less heavy stuff at the time though
that was a few years earlier...this when we started to become more and more brutal
@@hideousinfirmity fascinating.. Sounds really prominent to this day!
damn good stuff. will these songs ever come back live?
honestly...no haha
Shame, Forensic Entomology is a great song
I do agree....just so much new stuff on the horizon it pales in comparison

That solo at 3:45 is on perma-repeat
Yeah love this one
