I think you're my new hoof guy to watch when there's no hgp to watch. Yay!!!! Good looking full of jokes and takes good care of the ladies. Thanks for yourcontent. I'm fairly bored waiting on my knee replacement surgery.
Extraño trabajar con animales así, el cuidado, y todo lo que conlleva mantenerlos con vida y saludables, grande amigo, :') como quisiera poder volver a trabajar con ganado
The only people who think the block gets in the way of us trimming is people who have never trimmed hooves.. honestly it makes zero difference. But the longer the block cures the better for the cow.
I removed every bit of loose horn on this damaged hoof. (I just didn’t show too much as she was in a bad way) but hopefully on her follow up you’ll see a huge improvement!!

It’s not at all.. it’s just relentless rain coming through the ridge in the roof which we cannot help. Where they live is spotlessly cleaned by robots 👌
Walking around in all that muck is going to erase everything you did. It's just going to get reinfected.😢 Wouldn't a little iodine have helped? Just asking
@@SaucyWench88 It is to elevate the hoof in order to take the weight of of the injured claw. Hopefully it will help to keep it out of the muck a little bit too.😊
The heifer I filmed was fresh into the herd and young so they always loose frame. But I assure you cows don’t do the job if they’re skinny. They’re fed rocket fuel to keep them going in as best conditions as possible. But we have had an insanely long winter here in the uk. It’s basically rained for 6-8 months and cows are desperate to get to the fields
Why are these ladies having to navigate through a soaking wet slurry of slip and slide? You should be clearing away the water and putting down some sawdust! For Pete’sSake! A lame cow will hurt herself trying to make her way through and out of that muck!
It’s water, from where I wash things as we trim. It doesn’t drain away it just sits there around the machine. Unfortunately it can’t be moved while we trim but fortunately it makes zero difference to the cows if they walk through water or not
It’s so nice to watch your video with just the natural sound and no obnoxious music .
I’ve dabbled with doing loads of different things but I’m trying to do as minimal editing as possible and keep it as natural as possible!

Thanks man!
Brilliant video you guys do a fantastic job, those cows must be in so much pain then you guys sort them out it must be a massive relief
Thanks 👍

Thanks!!! I’ve been super ill so not been that active but I’ll get you some more videos soon 😉🤞🏻
I think what you're doing is amazing, and I would like to thank you for taking good care of those animals... seriously you are a good man
I love your videos! Another great job 👍🏾
Thank you so much!

Just watched the 1st of I hope many of your videos. Love what you do! Is that Irish I hear or Scottish?
Thanks!! You actually hear neither… I’m English.. well actually Cornish so right down the bottom of the uk
I am amazed that those big cows have not slipped and broke many lagers!
Legs
Normally they are just incredibly calm and chilled but there’s an argument for new grooves to go down on the farm this year
Not the best environment--did they put the barn in a swamp? Good trim though!
👍👍👍👍
It’s running through the guttering. The farms right on top of a hill but we have had relentless rain for 6-8 months now! Barely a dry day
I thought the same thing. That bandage is subjected to dirty water to go right into infected area. 🤦♀️
The bandage is only needed for 24 hours and it’s better to be covered than uncovered
Are the cows also given antibiotics for the infection?
No reason to block it so prematurely, so much easier to trim without the block in the way. HGP glue sets so quick
The only people who think the block gets in the way of us trimming is people who have never trimmed hooves.. honestly it makes zero difference. But the longer the block cures the better for the cow.
Question: why did you not finish the trim on that hoof with the injury? Is there a reason for?

@keepingcowsmoovin2986 I understand. Thank you kindly for answering 👍
I was wondering if you had as much rain as we have in Arkansas
It’s not stopped raining here since June last year 🤦♂️😂😂
Excelente proceder
Are you making fun of tbe hoof gp guy?!😂
😂 na I just couldn’t remember what it was called 😂
Needed to trim that tow tip.....
I defo didn’t… she was already short. But it is longer than the other toe which is okay that’s natural 👌
❤❤
Cows supposed to look like that?
I want to see the robot in action!
I’m sure we can sort that!
These subtitles are VERY distracting.

Salicylic acid is a cleaning agent so we wrap her with that which promotes healthy growth and helps keep the issue clean
@@keepingcowsmoovin2986 Thank you for the clarification. I'm not the brightest bulb in the box.
Robot cows?
Half the herd is robots and half the herd is conventional milking
@@keepingcowsmoovin2986 Does that mean they're mechanical?
