This guy is soooo underrated. Many will remember him for his stunt at the 2000 MTV VMAs - but he is a really solid bassist and musician. And it seems like he's pretty chill at this point in life. Wishing him a full recovery with his cancer.
I'm a HUGE fan of his distorted bass sound, even more of his wah/overdriven, magmaesque sound on songs like Calm Like a Bomb, War Within a Breath, and such. He impresses me even more than Flea : He is way more subdued and less flashy, but it's all in the dirtyness of his BADASS sound. I remember I was completely blown away by his little bass solo during Tom's solo on Audioslave's Drown Me Slowly, while it may seem a completely ordinary little bass solo. From him, it sounded rad. The first two Audioslave albums are such a pleasure to listen, he sounds absolutely AWESOME on it. He shines also on the great funky track Hands Up, from Phophets of Rage. I couldn't stop talking about him (and I'm a drummer !!). Whenever I formed RATM Tribute bands, I was always obsessed with the ability from the bass player to recreate Tim's overdriven sonic universe. I've said so many times for the last 20 years, but I would give hundreds (even thousands ?) of bucks to get bass/drums records from just him and Brad jamming. But we also love them because they're humble and kind of shy away from the limelight. Which is a waste, considering their talent and chemistry. And they've been unfortunate with bands and singers...
How can you say to him that he has "second" in the past while writing music??? 🙈🙈🙈 Legend of a musician, this new band sounds great, real music that comes from the heart, Mathias beat is sooo good, Jhonny does some amazing arrangement and Tim is such a great musician and one of the best bass player ever 🤘🏻 Can't wait to see them live 🤘🏻😎
Lmao Tim's leg in the beginning blocking half the screen has me dying
Me too lmao
Typical Tim
