Hardly a distraction when he passes it in full view of the orc. Anyway, that's just an excuse by Amazon. The scene is really about shock and click bait to try to get viewers to replace the ones they are losing.
Check out this season's soundtrack. The song at the end is called "The Last Balland of Damrod". It's the anthem for the orcs and the hill troll. Love the entire soundtrack!
best episode till now. That Huge Orc that was killed by arondir, high king and elrond had a menacing death laugh knowing that the elves cannot win, They should've shown some scenes from numenor
I really need to read Tolkien's work but from the little (compared to how many knowledge there is lol) I know already, Lady Galadriel is far older than Elrond and he's supposed to get married with her daughter, with who he'll get Arwen and the twin brothers Elladan and Elrohir. So I really hope this kiss was a diversion but I'm afraid the writers are too dumb to make a love relation between them.
@@Me_Zame Yeah, knowing he marries her daughter it makes it very convoluted, but if they move on quickly it might be okay. It reminds me of Steve Rogers with Sharon Carter (Peggy's niece) in Civil War, although I'm not entirely sure why 😂
I can understand why some people would like this show if they have not watched peter jacksons films or read tolkiens writings or simply you just like it as it is and dont care for the nuances of adapting a middle earth movie or tv show but after season 1 i stopped watching this for a reason.
Common mate. Terrible episode. Such a let down. The pacing. The battles underwhelming. What was Sauron doing while the nine rings were being spirited away. Having a dump. Please. And the Uruk getting cold feet about following Adar and dying. Give me a break. And why no glimpse of what’s happened with Gandalf and the harefoots. And as for Durin needing to hold back the whole dwarf army to sort out his dad. Really 🤔
Celebrimbor was chained ? The Uruk getting cold feet was foreshadowed the entire season ? Why would we see the harfoots now ? Durin summoned the whole dwarf army for the battle not his father ? Can you even do real criticism ?
@@paddyp3386 This seems to be illogical criticism. Have you enjoyed other episodes of this show? If so, the same logic can be applied - not every character/storyline is in every episode. If not, feel free to stop watching!
@@pseud0nul Hmmm, let's see: the sun rising in the north, a muddy river bed that sucks down horses but two orcs can push a heavy siege engine across it easily, magical trebuchets that can knock huge pieces off mountains at improbably long range but can''t bring down the walls, cavalry charges that suddenly stop, copy of Boromir's death for a character we know nothing about, one troll and 30 orcs fighting 20 elves. Okay...
Horrendous show and episode, the pacing was bizarre, there was hardly any tension, the battle scenes fell incredibly flat. The kiss was so weird, even if it was to free her. There is so much more that was odd and didn’t work. I wanted to like this second season more but it is honestly the biggest fumble I’ve seen of a show.

This episode is sooo good! By far the best of the entire series. I am so proud of the show for improving so much in season two!
@@drivingahead1796 Definitely! I really enjoyed season 1 and I'm glad they've kept the level of quality!
Sauron is absolutely amazing💯
@@primal1233 He's been portrayed so well - I wasn't sure how the switch from Halbrand to Annatar would be, but Charlie Vickers has fully convinced me
I think Elrond says "Forgive me" because he was going to kiss Galadriel, distracting the others to give her the brooch to release herself
@@lmtgaming8325 That's what I thought, and makes the most sense to me
and you can see the orc looking right at them as elrond slips galadriel the pin lol.

What a time to be a fan. Season 1 was a slow introduction but Season 2 was full on. For me the greatest thing on streaming tv right now.

Sad Mirdania died
I liked her so was hot
Mirdania's death 😒😔
Absolutely brutal. I got all emotional. Such a great character.
Annatar should’ve caught the hammer and threw it back at Brimby
