- This time, I asked for a photo of the handmade bento shop "Ohtsuru" in Hakata.
It's hard to tell when it's ready, but from early in the morning, they put a lot of time and effort into making various types of bento boxes.
Locally grown vegetables and rice are used to create gentle-tasting bento boxes that are loved by locals, and side dishes are also popular.

某スーパーのお惣菜とお弁当売り場で働いてたけど、こんな丁寧に仕事してたら終わらない。そして怒号が飛び交う。掃除もやらなきゃいけないけど時間が足りないのでここまでピカピカにはできない。
このお店は人手が十分にあって、良い労働環境なんだろうなとうかがえる！こんなお店で働きたかったな〜
今どこで働いてますか？レストラン部門でも働いていますか？
とても丁寧で清潔感もあり、ひとつひとつ心を込めて作っていらっしゃる感じが見て取れます。
本当にどれも美味しいそうで、めちゃくちゃ食べたくなります！

大鶴（だいかく）は手作りなのでとても安心感があります
通常のお弁当屋さんだとエビフライなどは業務用のエビフライがそのまま入ってることが多いですが、こちらは手作りなのです
また、食材や調味料もしっかりした銘柄のものを使用しており、手間が掛かってますけどその分美味しいです

A special food that many people like
I wonder how much these meals are? They look so delicious I wish they made them like that in Australia. I would buy one every day.
Well 100 yen = $1.00Aud roughly. One of their meals was 480 yen so that's roughly 5-6$ so it's really cheap. I wish they had these places in Australia too but food is expensive here. Those Bento boxes would sell for well over 10$ here.

I've never been to Japan, so I'm curious as I watch these bento takeaway videos, do folks just eat them at room temperature or is the idea to reheat them? What's the intent? Only curious. They all look amazing and I'd have a hard time choosing lol
The containers appear to be ordinary plastic- so they are to be eaten at room temperature.
And if they are to be school meals, there should not be enough microwave ovens to reheat them all.
But they do taste really good just the same.

@@beckbabej that’s not worm. that’s a KATSO-BUSHI, which is thin shavings of dried bonito. there are very thin, so moved by rice steam.

It's called katsuobushi, made from skipjack tuna. It will move because it is very light. Move when close to hot food.
