Back when i used to work at the International airport in Puerto Rico TJSJ , i used to remember every Sat and Friday night a Boeing 747 from Iberia airlines would always be gated at the center terminal of the airport , and i remember seeing a plane that size with 4 engines and being both impressed and mesmerized ! now seeing you flying a A340 with 4 engines from Iberia airlines just brings such good memories from those days , thanks Tom !
I did something similar all the time with a British Airways 747 growing up. Just watching it fly over head looking as it’s flying slow with the gentle howl from the 4 rolls Royce engines. Good memories. Thank you for this comment
I've been to tjsj a few times because that's the airport we go to to then go to bayamon and where I would often get to see family members I don't see all the time the airport is so beautiful
I'm from Madrid, not long ago I started working in the airport as a security assistant and most of my shifts are in that terminal. It's really cool to see my "work space" so well depicted in a simulator hehe. Thanks for this video
flown into GQU like 4 times b4. always a fun airport, especially with the quick rotations that happent here because of the altitude and holding the brakes
I like FS98 better 😂......NOT!! This is incredible!! Flight simming has finally reached that point that all of us, who have been flight simming since day one some 30+ years ago, have been waiting for. You have another new subscriber now. Thanks Tom...oops, thats MajorTom.
Hey was wondering if you could do a flight from Orlando int to Indianapolis int it was a flight I would really like to see and would be super cool if you did and did it in the a320 neo spirit or frontier Airlines please and it is okay if you don’t but it would be cool for me if you did Ps love the channel and video keep up the good work👍🏾
Do you do any reshading because my picture isn’t this realistic. I got a 4k screen although not sure it’s enabled. Color reshade. And everything on ultra.
hey tom, i really want to get this aircraft but i was wondering if it was any good, i heard many people saying that this aircraft is rubbish but what do you think?
For what you get, its actually somewhat decent. Definitely not the best but definitely not the worst. I'd say the biggest flaw is the flight model and landing the thing however I know it continually gets updated and refined. That being said, I've taken it on multiple flights some long, some short and have had fun :)
Actually it’s just about as real as it gets! Pilots preflight the plane before the flight to check if everything is working, including all lights. Certain lights aren’t working = unairworthy airplane
@@MajorTom. well, if you say so. But I have never ever seen landing lights on any planes with their nose close pointed to the terminal (either before or after flight). And strobes, running like that, once one airplane in Istanbul. And I am not saying this to be a jackass, but because your videos are amazing (I am sure that even if I had a computer twice as fast as yours I’d not be able to get this good), and I want to get immersed.
@@MajorTom. ok, I will not continue arguing about this. The video shows conducting tests where it would not interfere or impair ground crew and would not impact passengers in the terminal. There’s a reason airliners do not have their landing lights and strobes on the tarmac, and switch off taxi lights just before turning to the gate. I have never ever seen (and I am willing to be nor anyone else here - live or in any of hundreds of youtube channels streaming airport operations in real time) pilots testing landing lights in the dark against the terminal, or even strobes or taxi lights like that, where would impact ground crew and passengers. Not even Ted Striker…
It's a shame how an otherwise good video is ruined by these flying scenes at excessive speed. They are just cruel and hurt the eyes. Instead of such film sequences, it would be better to make short, different scenes and preferably at normal speed.
WE’RE SO BACK WITH A MAJOR TOM VIDEO! 🎉
you gotta stop whatever ur doing to watch this guy's masterpieces

These graphics are looking better than my own eyes lol
Are your specs still the same as stated on your ‘about’ section?
Affirmative

Anyone else having problems lifting this thing of the ground during takeoff?
It’s an underpowered aircraft so make sure you put those flaps in and get up to a higher airspeed :)
I try to like the videos. But taxi lights, landing lights and strobes at gate just absolutely kills any sense or realism..

Talk about underpowered engines. You almost didn't make it.
