There's still plenty to be worried about even knowing his story. Purple could still slip back to seeking for what he thinks will help him to reach the peak where he sees his father (a metaphoric one of course): Power. Look at what Zuko did in season 2 of Avatar. This feels similar. Even after King betrayed him the King has proven to be good at manipulation and exploiting others.

@@advsdchow6395 Exactly. The fact that the episode ends directly on the instant he claims the staff and not giving an idea of his intention is exactly why we should be very worried. That kind of cliffhanger tends to lead to things going wrong. Otherwise what else could happen? He has the staff. He could destroy the king or imprison him instantly and free the others all in a matter of seconds. Knowing Alan, would he go through all this just to wrap things up that fast? Of course not. We'll see when the next episode hits.

@@Kamina.D.Fierce Purple probably doesn't knows how the staff is supouse to work and it'll be a chaos doesn't matter the intentions. King IS manipulative and i do imagine that in some point in the fight Purple will doubt about who to help, but i think the king has another card he hasn't played yet

Btw if Purple is goin to betray the main gang once again, let me say that this whole chapther was a waste of time, Green only went to the note block dimention to find Purple and get and answer for they're actions (You know, the 2 betrayals)
If Alan would have wanted to Purple to turn up against them again, we wouldn't know their backstory
