I just think she does herself an injustice when she downplays her skills when playing jazz. In essence I am trying to say that Sangah is not just a jazz pianist but when she does play in the multitude of subgenres that fit under the umbrella of jazz she is just as amazing as when she plays classical, rock or any other type of music. She can do it all but as a jazz lover I think she is gifted beyond words.

This is a beautiful interpretation, one of the best I've heard for this song, which is very difficult to interpret because it requires a perfect balance between the amount of notes x emotion. Chet Baker's version bets on the small volume of notes, on the silence around the chords to extract maximum beauty. Sangah Noona follows another path and bets on intensity, without ever losing the melodic and tonal center of the song, so this song maintains its slow and grandiose beauty, played with a wonderful intensity. Bravo, beautiful.

This is a beautiful interpretation, one of the best I've heard for this song, which is very difficult to interpret because it requires a perfect balance between the amount of notes x emotion. Chet Baker's version bets on the small volume of notes, on the silence around the chords to extract maximum beauty. Sangah Noona follows another path and bets on intensity, without ever losing the melodic and tonal center of the song, so this song maintains its slow and grandiose beauty, played with a wonderful intensity. Bravo, beautiful.
