- Presented by @ROLEX Over the course of two years, teams of Explorers on the Rolex and National Geographic Perpetual Planet Amazon Expedition have studied the Amazon River Basin from source to mouth - across six countries. In this bonus material to National Geographic’s “Expedition Amazon” documentary, premiering on 10 October, National Geographic Explorers Thomas Peschak, Fernando Trujillo, Thiago Silva and Julia Tavares guide us from the farthest source of the river, the Nevado Mismi in Peru, to the official start of the Amazon at the Brazilian Meeting of the Waters. Along the way we meet an adored Colombian rescue manatee named Moechi, and travel to rare Bolivian clearwaters, where gilded catfish are plentiful. Discover more of the Amazon's incredible wildlife, nature, and communities through the immersive experience on on.natgeo.com/....
This expedition was supported by Rolex and its Perpetual Planet Initiative, which is partnering with the National Geographic Society on science-based expeditions to explore, study, and document change in the planet’s most unique regions. #PerpetualPlanet

Wow! The meeting of the waters at the end is beautiful! I had no idea.
Thank You Nat Geo 🙂❤👍
Beautiful places
The Lungs of the Earth
In the first century the canal between America and Canada was closed to prevent the transport of international merchandise that the first American precedent sold the land to the English for a thousand Dolores
Absolutely that's true,
the video end reminded me of that verse in Surat AR-RAHMAN ( He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?) .
Who ever produced this should get an Emmy!
Amazon stuff is as interesting to me as ancient Egypt or Rome. I wonder how many lost civilizations have been literally swallowed by the growing jungle
nice..
Nice

BEAUTIFUL AMAZON
There better be Black Caiman in this.. What is the Amazon without talking about the Apex of the River itself..
Hunting all the natives of the territory were prominent the channels were closed up to the Mississippi River the largest river in the world where it was the largest naval market 👍
Hope we humans respect nature's gifts and not ABUSE to a point of extinction that will be our own downfall
Thanks a lot🤩 Much appreciated
