Imo the sexiest things about Mamamoo are their confidence and charisma. Their style of sexy feels like them being themselves rather than babelicious girls displaying their wares as sex objects. Mamamoo switches up their musical genre and MV style with almost every new release. One of these days you should go through their extremely diverse discography to catch up on the 6 years of MVs and hours of fantastic live performance videos available for your enjoyment. They're generally considered to be the best singers among the current generation of girl groups and they're best when live. Good examples would be any of their 14 performances on the singing competition tv show Immortal Songs 2. Delilah and Backwoods are two contrasting showcases for their vocal brilliance and stage presence. Or if you want to start with sampler packages to get an overview of what they're like live then check out the Immortal Songs Medley from their first solo concerts in 2016, their legendary 8 minute controversial & show-stopping performance at the 2018 MAMA award show, or their "cover" (I use the term very loosely) of AOA's song Good Luck during the Queendom competition last year, which Mamamoo won btw. But you really can't go wrong with anything by MMM so follow your own noses & inclination and have fun!
Mamamoo is more a vocalist group. This hip hop concept is a departure from their usual classical old fashioned style 😎 I'd recommend "Piano Man" (old fashioned) and "Starry Night" (dreamy acoustic guitar-ish)

I rate them at the top when it comes to originality, diversity and vocals right alongside Dreamcatcher and Red Velvet.

As Videos to watch they have a been uploading videos from training days. They had a good size following even before they Debuted. Their is ton of stuff. Weekly Idol first appearance is always a good laugh then the shock of the guest host on their second appearance. They not only entertaining musically they have great showmanship and comedic timing. They are a complete package. Every performance is worth watching unlike other groups who do the routine perfectly seeing it once you seen every performance. In Queendom the other groups talk about how MMM performances engage the audiences.
If you're looking for another Mamamoo mv to check out i'd recommend Um Oh Ah Yeah. It is my favorite Mamamoo song I'd have to say just because the vocals and harmonizing in it are fricken amazing. Also the mv is quite funny and entertaining :)

a little background information on hip for anyone who doesn't know! it was written by one of the members, hwasa. she wrote it as a "diss" to korean media sites who wrote articles bashing her for an outfit she wore at the airport (that's the "pres. hwasa dressed ridiculously at airport" headline). mamamoo is also known for being outspoken and have often stood in support of things that are deemed as "controversial" in korea (ex: feminism, lgbt community, etc.). the media tends to attack them often, and so this song basically says that no matter what they do or how perfect they look, the media is "obsessed" with mmm and will always find something to say about them because talking about they have become a trend (.....so they're hip 😭). hence the pre-chorus; "click me, click me; as if you're possessed: zoom; close up, close up, close up, hip hey!"
This song is a bop, but it's much more than that; it's a song about defying the haters, believe in yourself, and not allow others affect your self-image. You should read the lyrics and really appreciate the meaning of HIP.
My friend who is a 40 year old lifelong punk and Deadhead with almost no knowledge of kpop outside of what he knows from me, absolutely loved this song and video. His words were “I have no idea what I just watched but I love it.” 😂
I love Mamamoo and I would love it if you watched more of their other live performances. I think they stand out especially as a K-pop group in their live performances due to their strong vocals, amazing stage presence and changing concepts. Yay I'm so glad you checked this song out. I freakin love Mamamoo and HIP is such a bop. Idk if they're really considered controversial but like the reason they can and do more sexier concepts than some other groups you've checked out is they are actually older. So like the youngest member Hwasa (short black hair) is 24, Wheein (long blue hair) is also 24, Moonbyul (purple hair) is 27 and Solar (blonde hair) is 28, which is why they have full right to be sexy haha.
If you can even in your own time, check out their EP, BLUE;S. The songs are mellower and more guitar driven compared to the rest of their discography. Wind Flower is their lead single there and has a MV. It also features a solo song from one of their members, Solar, who also wrote and composed the song. I think you’ll really dig this EP.

I love Mamamoo and I would love it if you watched more of their other live performances. I think they stand out especially as a K-pop group in their live performances due to their strong vocals, amazing stage presence and changing concepts. I especially recommend their "Destiny" and "Piano Man" performances.

Idk if they're really considered controversial but like the reason they can and do more sexier concepts than some other groups you've checked out is they are actually older. So like the youngest member Hwasa (short black hair) is 24, Wheein (long blue hair) is also 24, Moonbyul (purple hair) is 27 and Solar (blonde hair) is 28, which is why they have full right to be sexy haha.

Wind Flower is their lead single there and has a MV. It also features a solo song from one of their members, Solar, who also wrote and composed the song. I think you’ll really dig this EP.
