History of Germans in Elgin

This video was created to show at the Museum's annual gala on October 29, 2022 that had an Oktoberfest theme. The video begins in 1836, when German immigrants began to arrive in the Elgin area. Enjoy many photos from the Museum collection along with narration by Kathy Walters.
